i keep reading mixed reviews for blindspot, but so many people on here seem to like it... might have to give it a shot

a lot of people don't like it because of the pacing i think. and a lot of people don't like the male lead. he's kinda wooden, but i think that's how he's written moreso than his acting prowess.

i'm not going to lie and say it's amazing, but i like it enough so far to keep watching.

Quantico is probably my favorite of the two so far. as someone who never watched much tv and movies before this year, i can already say that i've watched every episode of quantico twice, save for tonight's which i'll check out sometime this week

I'm not big on ANY of the new network shows this season, but I do agree Quantico is better than Blindspot.

I agree with what Phanty's heard about the latter - it's waaay too self-serious. Quanitco's soapy and it knows it, and has fun with it.

I kid, of course different styles/themes/tones rub different people the wrong way. Her content doesn't bother me because I find her heartbreak feels authentic, while I find other pop stars I won't name to sound generally whiny and annoying because I don't buy what they're selling. It's the same with movies. Look no further than the DC/Marvel rivalries on the Hype. Some people think Marvel are too joke-y and lighthearted and therefore feel soulless, while others think they have all the heart and spirit of adventure and DC tries to be too dark. Which means both companies are doing something right because there's obviously a big audience for both schools of thought.

In terms of other pop stars, I'll name them for you, Taylor Swift right? She's so manufactured if it turns out she's entirely CGI, I wouldn't be the least surprised.

A lot of it has to do with a terrible break up I went through... four years back, five? It destroyed me, but I had to pick myself off the ground, get up on my own two feet, thrust my hand into my defiant chest, tear out my own heart and throw it at my aggressor, saying "Free from bondage!" So it's just weird to me to see a mother of one who has been in a relationship since 2011 still making money off break up music.

I agree with the Marvel/DC analogy though. The weird thing is I don't get those who think it should be one or the other and not be greatful that the variety exists. I'm a DC guy through and through, and there's a couple of Marvel films I can't stand because they're flat out (Unfunny) comedies, but I'd be crazy if I complained about stuff like TFA & Winter Soldier, IM & IM3, GotG, Ant-Man etc.

From what I'm hearing, BvS will be dark, but it will have some levity Wonder Woman will be a sombre epic like Man of Steel. Which absolutely fits. Suicide Squad will have a gallows humour. Flash and the Beetle/Booster will be closer to Marvel in style, but more cinematic ovbiously since WB pumps more money into these.

i don't know a lot of her songs, but she has this tone that does kinda sound like she's completely bored while she sings. i can't explain it. the only song of hers i really like is Never Let Me Go. if i recall, a former hype member recommended it to me.
