Anyone else up for the next season of (red) Arrow? 'Cos I could go for that :)

In all seriousness, this episode fluctuated between very cool and 'oh my god I want to flip all the tables'.

Oliver's plan was pretty sound, in my opinion. His execution of his plan was pretty terrible. You want to bring down a plane, don't mess with the engines, bomb the damn thing or make it nose-dive or something. (Anyone else get a flashback of the 90's comic where Ollie actually did die stopping terrorists on a plane?)

I liked Ray, and have done for a while, (and I also like Cold in the Flash and I loved Sara, so I'm hoping to love the spinoff). I really liked his commitment to his job of saving people, and I don't mind Felicity saving Oliver because all I was thinking was 'Good choice, Ray, you save those people.'

Thea and Laurel: A++

Nyssa: A++ for Katrina Law, A- for the writers (that ending rubbed me the wrong way)

Not a happy bunny when it comes to Diggle and Felicity *****ing at Oliver while Starling was in danger. Again, the writers called themselves out for doing something dumb (through Diggle), but only after doing something dumb (and in the same episode, so they clearly knew they were doing something wrong way before even finalising the scripts).

Actually rolled my eyes so hard it hurt at Felicity rewording the 'My name is Oliver Queen' opening monologue.

Wasn't a fan of Oliver beating Ra's in a straight fight, especially as they made it pretty clear throughout the rest of the episode that Ra's outclassed him. (P.S. how terrible are Ra's' swords that they break and that Oliver and Ra's can both catch them without having their hands cut off?)

The riding off into the sunset ending: :barf:

In summary: I'm bored of both Oliver and Felicity. Can we just watch Laurel, Thea and Diggle fight crime together and find Stephen Amell a different job where the writers actually give him a not annoying character? That or just use a Flashpoint Paradox event in the Flash to retcon his 'progression' this season? (but somehow retain Thea and Laurel, since they are really cool now).

Awful end, to an awful season, oh well, at least we have The Flash.

And what of Felicity being the CEO of Ray Palmer technologies that she doesnt even know about? Did Ray get rid of the contract? Did it burn up in the explosion?

My only hope is that Barry goes Flashpoint next week and reboots S3 out of continuity, would explain Sara's return.

I guess Ollie/Nyssa have been annulled.:oldrazz:

I guess he spent the honeymoon explaining to Nyssa how he was going to kill them both in a plane crash?:woot:

Ahh... on one hand the action and fights were awesome and some of the character interactions, on the other hand Felicity sucks and some major plot holes/issues of bad writing. Basically sums up this season, one cluster**** with some minor highlights.

Really thought s3 of Arrow would have made the ranks alongside 24, Breaking Bad, Friends, and Mad Men... yet it didn't. I'm not going into s4 with any preconceived notions because they lost a peg after this season.

I didn't understand why Nyssa kept raising her bow to TA or why Laurel was quiet during the whole thing.

Is there someone different running the show from the 1st 2 seasons?

This was awful. The only thing I liked was Ray at the end. If this is how they're gonna continue writing Felicity I'd rather they just kill her off. Hard to believe she was my favorite character before this season.

And Oliver really giving a mass murderer a powerful organization? Really? Way to just condemn 1000s of people to death Oliver. Not only letting him off the hook for blowing up half the city and killing 100s of people, but you give him the keys to kill more. I don't care what was promised to get his help.

Giving up helping his city to be with Felicity. Really? He has a chance to have a league behind him and change it from being bad to good. But instead gives it to a mass murderer to be with Felicity.

They need to pull some season 5 24 **** in the first episode of next season and kill Felicity off in the first scene.

They shove Roy away, nonchalantly "murder" Ray on screen, write Wildcat out of the season, develop Laurel in the background, and under develop Malcom becoming Ra's.

Why?

Giving him the League after telling him the he would never forgive him for what he's done to Sara and Thea... "Here, You tried to blow up the city, you drugged my sister and made her kill my ex-girlfriend, you had me almost dead for some no-sense plan and I'll never forgive you for this. Now here, take charge of the League of Assassins where they also happen to have a pit that makes you immortal, bye".....

That whole section with Damien Dahrk felt so pointless. Just feels like setting up the next Big Bad. It could've been cut for something more.

I was so disappointed she did nothing in the season finale. I worry she will be benched just like Deadshot was for the movie.

Considering he was against Thea using it, I doubt he'll take the risk with Tommy. Plus, I'm sure his body would be very decomposed by now.

We should have gotten a Birds of Prey moment with Dinah Laurel and Katana.

The producers and writers' priorities are messed with the focus on Oliver and Felicity and that they have Flash to run.

Speaking of the Flash, I knew he wouldn't do anything beyond freeing Oliver's friends.

Oliver vs. Ra's felt like a less impressive Buffy vs. Angelus

"City being attacked, must be May."
"No offence, but none of you are particularly good actors."

...when did this show become self aware? :funny:

This show is so lucky it has an expanded universe.

I'd have dropped it long ago if it weren't for Flash, Vixen, Legends of Tomorrow, and potential Supergirl/Titans crossovers.

They just don't do a good job of justifying the motivations for the actions of their characters. Nothing about the Malcolm alliance has made sense at any point in this season. Saying that he won't forgive him for killing Sara right before the credits roll doesn't make up for a season's worth of nonsensical decisions.

I still have faith for season 4, though. I hope they can recapture their streak of awesomeness from the second half of season one through the end of season two.

I liked it. But im most curious about this Legends of Tomorrow show and if thw Flash finale is going to do a Flashpoint type story.

Remember when Glee became self aware...................

I think it will be since the major part of the season, Oliver/Felicity getting together, has been completed. Now they can expand the rest of the show.

Well, that...happened. I can't say I'm underwhelmed considering the quality of this season on the whole but it just was not good, but I simply don't care anymore. :csad:
