I still do not buy into Oliver's supposed "love" for Felicity and the reason why is there is no build up or development of their attraction for each other. I mean, yeah there's been a few times where Felicity has oogled Ollie when his shirt was off but there was never indication that there was a spark between them. Now, granted, I actually REALLY liked their date scene in the season premiere and thought it it was a good stepping stone towards to something more serious in the future but the way Oliver reacted tonight and the way Diggle was talking about her to him made it seem like Felicity is his one true love or something and I just don't see it. At least not yet.

Oliver has a new one true love every season,

1 Laurel
2 Sara
3 Felicity
4 ?
5 ??
6 ???
7 ????

Where was the atom suit? I don't recall seeing that

edit: nevermind, found it in the main forum. I also didn't finish the episode yet lol.

Also didn't know the guy from Spartacus is Capt Boomerang. Awesome!

1. Laurel
2. Sara
3. Felicity
4. Amanda Waller
5. Barbara Gordon
6. Talia Al Ghul ( Sparking an epic crossover with Batman)
7. Diggle (The one person who has stuck by his side since the beginning)

:woot:

I wasn't feeling this ep like the last couple. I know the crossover will most likely be great and I hope that the midseason finale can set up for the threat of the season

Oliver was REALLY getting on my nerves with all his melodrama. Give it a rest man.
My sister and I cheered when he walked in on Ray and Felicity kissing. lol. And the part where he was talking about his relationship with felicity to Cupid was a major eye rolling moment. :p
But what a cool reveal of the Atom suit!!

I had no preconceived opinion of Cupid as I only know of the character, I never actually read the arcs with her in. I thought she worked well enough in this ep and was suitably comic-booky in her cooky insanity. Looks like she is gonna be on the Suicide Squad in place of Harley.

Thea was looking lovely as ever but her Daddy needs to put an arrow in the floppy haired DJ immediately for getting fresh, before he irritates me any further with his existence.

The flashbacks have picked up with the switch to developing a relationship between Ollie and Katana, and her taking those guys out was badass, hope we see a lot more of her soon and in the present day.

Palmer is really cheesy but the A.T.O.M exo-suit suit holographic reveal was awesome and it looks great, hope they can bring it to life so to speak, and I liked Boomerang's introduction.

Katana, Roy/Ollie bonding more, and Ray Palmer was awesome.

The Cupid stuff and Thea stuff was stupid, I'd maybe be ok with Cupid plot if it was season 1 and around Valentine's Day.

Felicity should stick to being one of the guys... not love interest after love interest. It puts a dark spot on the great character they built up in the first 2 seasons.

I really wasn't feeling it tonight. Cupid was a bit too campy for my tastes and kinda reminded me of one of the weaker freaks of the week from Gotham. I'd never seen her before either and what I saw , I wasn't impressed, though the actress was okay.

Oliver's neediness and jerkish-ness is really making it tough for me to feel sorry for him at least in the present day. Then again the romantic elements of the show are beginning to feel quite Smallville-ish and not in a good a way. Some fans may disagree, but that's how I feel.

The Thea stuff with the DJ stuff was filler but maybe he'll turn out to be a bad guy or something. I hope they bring Diggle more and more back to the forefront instead of just being Oliver's Alfred.

The Flash backs were okay , but I dread to think Oliver is gonna end up having an affair with this guy's wife. I hope the writers don't go there, and I hope they serve as mentor figures who help him mature as human being as opposed to another love triangle ala Slade and Shadow from last season.

All in all it feels like the show has no momentum at the moment which the first two seasons had. Hopefully after the Flash crossover and Ras Al Ghul's storyline the show will pick up again. It wasn't terrible, but we've seen the writers deliver much better then this ,so they need to get back on their A game imo.

Cupid was nowhere as obnoxious and Villain Sue-ish as her comic book self, but I nearly gagged at Oliver's "she could make a difference" by putting her in the Suicide Squad. He's had less mercy for villains that have done less harm.

Oliver's love woes were also obnoxious and I actually cheered a bit when he walked in on Felicity and Ray, which I doubt the producers intended.

Really liked the Atom blueprints and the Captain Boomerang set-up for next week.

The flashbacks were the best part of this episode, IMO. I can't wait to see more Katana.

I'm not an Olicity shipper and I thought we were done with that. But NOPE!

Cupid was pretty crappy. Definitely one of the "lower tier" episodes this season.

Loved seeing Rays little suit mockup thing.

Another great episode, no laurel,ATOM suit tease, Captain Boomerang :) aaaaahh.

I don't blame you. I was glad as well. Oliver is such a jerk. I mean , his character is interesting, but he is a jerk, and Ray is a good guy even if a bit eccentric.

I thought this episode was fantastic. I loved every minute of it.

EDIT: I'm surprised that this episode is getting such a mixed reaction. I suppose it depends on how much you liked Cupid. I thought the actress did a great job of bringing such a silly character to life.

I think a character like Cupid, you either love it or hate it.I just don't get why so many people enjoy seeing Ollie get his heart broken. I mean,is he really that unlikable?

As am I.
Given I generally like most episodes and don't really nit pick but still, Cupid was a rare comicbookie villain that is nice to have every once in a while on Arrow where a lot of villains are street gang members or the like. And the actress played it well. It would be bad if she were just another archer with generic criminal motivations. But the stalker fangirl thing was a nice change of pace.
The flashbacks were interesting as well and seeing Boomerang was cool.
Plus, seeing more of Ollie and Roy hanging out is fun.

IF I must choose things I didn't care for, I guess the focus Felicity's love life bores me. But I assume her plea to the mine owner about Ray is a set up for his character. Or at least a set up that he has secrets that she doesn't know about and she thinks she knows him.
And annoying DJ guy being unlikable. I have no clue where that's going.

Nerded out over the white dwarf star/Atom suit.

Ray's speech being a reworded version of the shows opening monologue was nice.

Roy being called Arsenal in the field was good.

I'm starting to find the Olicity stuff a bit of a drag.

It is a shame Captain Boomerang doesn't isn't an Aussie but I'm sure the actor will be good in the role.

Pretty much my view. It was filler on Ollie's end but good filler. The actress playing Cupid was good and I'm sure we'll see her again.

Dwarf star metal had me geeking out before the suit reveal.

I liked the ending with Ollie and Roy getting a nice moment to have dinner with the Digs. They both needed a break.

The one thing about the episode that annoyed me was Ollie's lack of reaction to Queen Consolidated becoming Palmer Technologies. Granted, he had already lost the bid, but actually seeing the company name change didn't really affect them at all. Maybe because he has enough going on his mind? I don't know.

And next up is the crossover...

I found her ok and the world's leggiest psychopath. However like I said Diggle is now a hardcore Olicity shipper. It is a horrible diminishing of what was once a great character. His main purpose is now as a surrogate for the Olicity people. Don't buy Oliver's 3rd(and counting) true love or Felicity's speech to Gardner being effective either.

I'd just wish they would finally stop shoving Olicity down our throats. Ugh.
So far, Brandon Routh is the best thing about Arrow season 3. He lights up every scene he's in.

Archer vs archer fights are the best and I'll never get tired of them. But all dem romance stuff are bringing the show down in my eyes. I wish Arrow was more like The Flash, the superior show.

Surprised no one mentioned the "Sherwood Florist" easter egg.

Fun episode.
Ending was awesome. The Atom suit looked pretty cool. And Captain Boomerang!

Agreed. Romance is essential to superhero stories imo, but I don't like the way they're handling it on Arrow. Sometimes it feels like the show is all about romance.

Felicity: "Oh God... I have a type." :funny:

My only major nitpick this Episode, Oliver handing Cupid over to Waller. Seriously? He's ok with her getting forced to do Waller's dirty work? We're talking about the trigger happy woman that likes to blow everything and treats everyone as expendable assets. The f**k Ollie?
