Think about it this way... We haven't seen anything about this game but we know they've been working on it for 3 years. We now have a release date, October. They've also announced more Desmond Single Player DLC for Revelations. They're clearly gearing up for a lot of activity and when we get the inevitable teaser or first look in a month from now and are blown away by the first numbered AC game since we first met Ezio, we're only going to have to wait half a year.

Is that a definite about a teaser in a month? (crosses fingers)

I would stake my reputation on it... We will have something substantial like a teaser or first look or assassin reveal within a month from now. That's how Ubisoft do marketing, they bundle things together. They don't just announce a release date for their most anticipated game and then stay dark for another 3 months.

Hey - wanted to hear everyone's thoughts:

I've been wanting an Assassin's Creed costume for quite a while. None that i have seen are amazing, but I figure getting the clothing would be fine, then I can handle the armor and leather touches myself (i've also found a site that sells high quality accessories like AC boot covers and gauntlets).

As it stands, I'm not sure which one of these to use as a base:

If I get the first one, I'll definitely need to redo the armor - there's some type of medical material you can get thats like a thick poster board, that you can cut and shape, then when it hardens you can sand down, carve, etc. A friend of mine used some to make a Boba Fett costume and it's incredible.

The second seems like it's of better quality, but the lack of armor is a hit - I'd need at least the poor quality armor to use as a template.

What are your thoughts? At this point, I'm just struggling to decide which to get. Does anyone have any experience with either costume? Are the cloth materials good? Well crafted? i don't expect either of them to be amazing, but at least a good base to customize.

Well, yes, but that pose is pretty iconic. That's the one pose I distinctly remember from any AC game. I think it's true because it showed up right after IGN announced something coming soon, and the last time they did that, Brotherhood leaked.

Yeah, just saw the full image from IGN and it's not the same so it must be real.

There's some talk of Native-American imagery which ties into Desmond's heritage, that could be pretty interesting .
