Audiences reactions to FF2 teaser trailer!

So overall the general audeince who saw the teaser trailer really Liked it.

well this bodes well for the sequel in terms of anticipation and hopefully boxoffice.

Because my friends just called me and said they saw F4:ROTSS trailer and they absolutely loved it and are going to watch it next year for sure and they are not even fans of f4.

I wonder if I started a post and told people to send me money..
if someone actually would..

Yo, STRIKEZ if your reading this.. is there some rule against that?

You mean peddling for money a la a Fanboy Version of PayPal? Hmmmm. *scratches goatee musingly*

Well, ask yourself, "What does fleecing our userbase financially have in common with Superheroes"?

And then ask me the question again. ;)

That's Dew's domain; I have no authority there.

She'll want a cut of your earnings though. At least 15%. Is it worth it? :o

Well, after going yesterday just to see the trailer, I went with my wife and son to actually watch the movie ( I wouldn't recommend it, but if you've got young kids, it was entertaining enough to sit through ).

The theater was about 3/4 full, and when they showed the close-ups of Reed and Sue, I heard a few people saying: "Fantastic Four", then when Johnny flamed on, there were a few people that said: "cool" or similar exclamations. Not too many other reactions during the preview, but some generally excited murmuring when it was done.

I'd say people seemed to think it was pretty cool, but no dramatic reactions (like I've seen for Star Wars or other really big films).

audience had a great reaction. lots of little kids were in awe over it. there was a 4 or 5 year old girl behind me who yelled "Silver Surfer!" as soon as Torch encountered him.

this blew my mind, when i was that age, no girl knew who the Surfer was. :woot:

I'll give it all to her. I just want to see if it works.

That sounds like a plan.

*crawls off to own kitty bed*

i just got back from seeing natm and i thought it was ok, but i will confess that the real reason i went to see it was to see the ff2 teaser, and it was just that, wow! i was blown out of my seat by visual realization of the surfer, and the action left me hungering for more. cgi doug was just radd. my wife and daughter were set to go out to see happy feet at the imax, but i convined them to go and see natm, if i would have told my wife the real reason i took them to see natm she wouldn't have gone. After the ff2 teaser i felt like saying okay let's go home now. does that make me a sicko? this film is going to be 2007's summer mega blockbuster, the teaser is the proof of that, it's like i've always said, this movie is gonna be...

off the hook!

Doug is radd! Norrin Radd.

I'm a perceptive person with a photographic memory. And I love to write. Obviously.

Where do you see prematurity? It's not like I said this movie is going to rock yet.
The "sitcom" feel from FF1? Gone. In its place? A distinct epic flavor--at least in this trailer. The action sequences and the overall framing had a sense of style--it had flair. And the tone of the entire clip is definitely grimier...edgy even. And that's a good thing. With the exception of Johnny's "But I just got this tux" wisecrack, there is no cheesiness to be found here--something that even the first film's trailers couldn't hide. This one was serious...darker.

Yea you say 'at least in this trailer' but i dunno it seemed like you wanted to say the entire movie will be epic, dark, and more serious.

People in my theater, tonight, had alot of wows, oohhss, and cools.
I, myself, was blown away at seeing the teaser after the anticipation and seeing Johnny Storm and the Surfer.

The theatre was pretty full when I went earlier after standing in line for about an hour at Borders. Sat in front of three kids, and behind a family of four. At first, one of the little snot nosed brats saw the Marvel logo and thought it was Ghost Rider, but then saw Reed and Sue walking down the aisle and whispered, "Fantastic Four." Then Johnny flames up, goes after the mysterious object rocketing around the city, then after the slo-mo scene of the Surfer phasing through the building, I hear several people going, "silver surfer", "oh, man...the silver surfer", and the kid behind me goes, "whoa, who is that?" Pretty much silence as the chase goes on in the theatre, then the title screen comes and goes, and I hear several people read it out loud.

This is interesting, I went to see Eragon tonight and sneaked in to see the trailer again but something you said reminded me of a kid looking at the Ghost Rider poster yesterday and saying to his dad, hey look Ghost Rider.

Are people noticing a lot of buzz for GR

Did anyone else notice that when they bring up the title screen that someone whisper's 'Silver'?

YES. I hear a lot of friends talking it up.
It's performance will surprise people big-time, I think. I expect at least Blade-level box office, perhaps more. I mean Blade's freakin' skull wasn't on fire (always a plus) and GR has motorcycles! (Another underrated demographic.) AND it has Nic Cage.

I never woulda thought it, but GHOST RIDER is going to be a hit.

Saw the teaser at Night at the Museum. Pretty sweet! Audience had no reaction whatsoever though. But also saw SM3 and TF trailers this weekend too at theaters. No reactions by anybody. Pretty much the only time I have ever seen reactions to trailers is for midnight shows, with the real fans in attendence, instead of the avg. joe blow during a matinee.
