World Avengers Assemble! Animated Show - Part 1

Yup. Thought it was a good one. The Cabal came off extremely well in this time and Hyperion is being brought back into the fold.

CONTINUITY. I thought Loeb and MOA hated that?

I enjoyed it as well, probably one of my top 3 Avengers Assemble episodes thus far. The Cabal came off a lot more strategic and menacing than usual, definately a huge improvement in my opinion.

Not to mention Attuma and Hulk squaring off again as well as Dracula and Thor's new found "immortality rivalry" so EPIC!

Honestly I wasn't expecting to see Hyperion again in this fashion. I like that they brought him back in this way.

I wonder if he's still gonna be tough enough to go against the enitire team himself, that would be overkill.

well, this thread seems to have been resurrected after lying dormant for awhile... I completely forgot that this thread and the show even existed... I gave up on the show months ago around the sixth ep or so... has the quality level of the show improved or has the song pretty much remained the same?...

I thought the newest episode was great. But ultimately, tastes and opinions vary.

anyone wanna try and figure out how many times they said "cabal" in this episode? It must have been close to 20 times. Reminded me of all the "rise, rises" stuff in the last batman

Watching the latest episodes, it seems to justify more and more that Captain America should be the leader of the team.

While i disagree with most of your opinion, the vileone, (i do respect you however, i have to say that i totally agree with you. Iron-man has been kind of a jerk in this series and does not show leadership qualities at ALL.

let us all hope captain america the winter soldier will make more money than iron man 3 and we can start getting more cap exposure. Its all abt the movie successes my friend!

I also i am tired of the limited team roster, so i can wait for season 2 which will probably include SW and QS, and probably vision and ms marvel (if rumors abt Avengers AoU are true)

Limited, revolving team roster is best for business. Young Justice and JLU got too unwieldy.

CA:TWS will be lucky to make Thor:TDW numbers, it's definately not going to bring in anywhere near Iron Man 3 numbers.

The Cabal turned out to be the most boring team imaginable. You have Adaptiod with Modok doing a Krang impression, pale blue Dracula,Super-ripoff Man & General generic Atlantis dude. That's the best they could do with all of Marvel's catalog of villains within their reach?

I think Hyperion is one of the best parts of the show and I love that he's a part of the Cabal.

I think MODOK is a lot more serious in this show than EMH anyway.

I like that the Cabal isn't relying on the usual villains Marvel uses in animation. Dracula, Hyperion, and Attuma are getting some nice exposure outside of the comics.

However, what was up with the Hulk having his arm injured for the entire episode? Hulk's healing factor is well-known to anyone who has ever read his comics or seen one of the movies. I get that Hulk has to be in danger and/or hurt every now and then to drive the drama, but that shouldn't happen with lazy, out-of-character writing.

I thought the exact same thing.

I agree.

Not sure if there's precedence for this or not, but I thought Hyperion being able to hurt and injure the Hulk, which we don't often see, is pretty interesting.

I want a parallel universes collide episode where the Avengers meet the Marvel Now Hyperion (see Hickman's Avengers - he wears a bluish gray version of his usual suit) and see Marvel Now Hyperion fight this show's Hyperion.

I wonder which Ant-Man that was supposed to be. His real name was never mentioned and he never took off the mask.

I took for granted it was Pym since they were dealing with "Pym Particles",but they never made it clear.

Yeah, I just assumed it was Pym...Antman's suit also looked pretty sweet although I thought the helmet looked a bit odd but just a minor complaint. Decent ep.

It seems the natural order of things for Marvel to excel in Live action and stink in animation. With DC it's vice versa.

The only DC animated show on now is Teen Titans. I prefer all the Marvel Shows.

I guess it's..."debatable".

It seems to be written with the youngest members of fandom in mind.(look no farther than the last episode) That's not a bad thing, but I do admit I question why I still watch it.I guess hope springs eternal that it might transcend it's chosen demographic.

I don't think anyone would agree it's better than EMH
