I feel like people are over estimating The Lion King, but then again Beauty and the Beast made 1B so I guess anything is possible.

The Rise of Skywalker will be massive, but there's no way it touches Endgame. It could join the 2 billion dollar club and possible pass The Force Awakens though.

The reason the weekday box office isn't as high as force awakens is because it's 3 hours long. Parents might be put off taking kids on a school night.

When will Endgame have a shot of getting into the top 10 list when adjusted for inflation? None of the MCU films are in there at all. The Force Awakens is at 10, but Avatar and Titanic are at 2 and 3 behind Gone with the Wind. Can it get onto that list and even beat some of those others, or even Gone with the Wind?

Endgame might if it beats Avatar.

So I went to preorder tickets for this Sunday to take the family and it appears just as busy as last weekend. Not as many screens but I couldnt find any seats at the two closest theaters of preference at the times I needed. I had to get tickets at a theater much further away and just barely.

I was just looking at the domestic. But you would think that since Infinity War just made a little over $2B that's why it's not on that list. Once Endgame makes more than TFA because those numbers are inflated to today's numbers it'll be in the top 10.

DOM+China is on track for around 1.5B
IW did 1.01B OS-China. If EG doesn’t get an increase there that’s already 2.5B WW. If it increases by 20% over IW it matches Avatar WW more or less. If it increases 30% over IW Avatar is toast.

I’m not saying it will just to be clear but, in my opinion of course, I think’s it’s a little early for definitive statements.

I think thats the toughest to beat. Maybe China can carry with a $700 mil total. Fingers crossed.

And without the original three of Luke, Leia, and Han getting screentime together, it doesn’t have the hook they can use in the marketing. People WANTED to see them together again and Disney really screwed themselves by not doing that sooner.
