Infinity War Avengers: Infinity War SPOILER User Review Thread - Part 2

LoL at this argument. Adding another one to my ignore list. :yay:

So, does this mean they don't have raccoons in Asgard? :p

Thor got confused because of his concussion and there was no neurologist to put him through the diagnostic protocol. In Asgard, they have rabcoons.....and they are quite clever. If you're backpacking, they will try to unzip your pack and steal your food and they aren't afraid of you if you shine a light on them and yell at them. You basically have to throw a frisbee at them, hit them, AND yell before they will pay attention to you and take off.

Raccoons are different. They wanna blow up moons. Don't throw a frisbee at a raccoon.

I just joined this forum and I just saw Avengers Infinity War last night, and needed somewhere to post my theory which I haven't seen discussed.

I've read that in Thanos' final scene that the orange undertones of his surroundings is that he is in fact within the Soul Stone, where he meets Gamora's younger image. Is it possible, that with the snap of his finger, that half of all beings faded away, that Thanos himself ended up being part of that half? That when he is asked by Gamora what his cost was, that it was his life? Everything he was hoping to see after snapping his finger? That all the characters he "killed" off actually now reside in the Soul Stone?

In addition, when Thanos teleported himself from Wakanda, I would assume he teleported to Titan, where Iron Man survived. Then perhaps Thanos himself faded from existence. Then Tony Stark would discover the gauntlet, or atleast the stones, since it wouldn't be probable that the stones would accompany Thanos into the Soul World.

The mold or model for the gauntlet still exists on Nidavellir, where a new gauntlet could be created to use the Time Stone to reverse all the events while Thanos battles the killed off heroes in Soul World? (I mean, we all know they can't kill off Spider-Man and Black Panther after only one movie each!)

Just trying to connect the dots here. I have no idea how Captain Marvel would play a roll in this, other than being the only other being, as powerful as I have read her to be, who could possibly wield all the stones?

Is this theory crazy? Probably....

Hated how lame Vision was, and how so many people are obviously coming back from the dead, but this film is easily a 9.

Have to ask this here since it's so Infinity War spoiler heavy...

I bet the Marvel/Netflix TV writers are really in a panic. Do they have to scramble to make half of their cast disappear? Mentioning another "indecent" just won't cut it now.

When Winter Soldier came out the Agents of SHIELD TV people where thrown for a loop because they weren't warned or consulted. They scrambled and what resulted was the pinnacle of the show. Will The Daredevil people be able to do the same thing even though that show is already great?

Or perhaps the price of the Soul Stone was the cost of the soul of the person he loved the most. Ultimately he loved himself the most, so after he snapped his finger, the soul stone collected his soul. Leaving the "killed" off heroes to battle Thanos' soul in the Soul World, while the "alive" heroes have to battle a "soul-less" mad Thanos.

Scramble??? Huh??? They already made The Inhumans disappear. What more do you want?

I think those are two separate scenarios. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was a show about spies, so traitors in their midst worked for it. Having a bunch of characters killed off on the Netflix shows because of unrelated events elsewhere in that world would be disruptive to their own narratives, and then they'd have to turn around and do it again when the characters come back. It would make the shows seem unfocused and stilted, and like they're getting scraps from the movies' table when, at least to some point, they've been succeeding as their own entity. Also, if Avengers 4 changes time, maybe they wouldn't even remember anyone having disappeared, in which case when the characters come back it would have to be like they never knew they were gone. So it seems like they should just act like they're in the fixed timeline and power through it.

That said...I guess it's possible Avengers 4 might make other changes to time that could cause difficulties. It's hard to say too much without knowing how that movie goes.

Who ARE you? You're not supposed to make 2 smart posts right off the bat. C'mon....did C. Lee nuke you yesterday?

What if, eventually, Thanos defeats himself in some way and that was the future Dr Strange foresaw?

I look forward to your next syllable with great eagerness. :cwink:

The scene that’s still sticking with me is the one where Peter goes. Sure we know he will be back but it was an incredibly emotional scene and Stark looked horrified at what he was seeing. That was such a great piece of acting from both Tom Holland and RDJ.

You mean like he has a change of heart? Sort of like they did with Vandal Savage in the JL episodes “Hereafter” when he saw what life was like when he conquered the earth and he hated it?

It's definitely to set up something for Tony. I am bloody sure they would have had absolutely NO other reason to dust Spidey in this movie, esp. with his own movie about to start shooting.

What are you talking about? Thanos teleported on some distant planet to his farm, not on Titan. It was entirely different setting and I have no idea why you would assume it's Titan.

Second, Thanos is VERY alive. He teleported after the snap and was shown half-burned at his farm. If he was dead, why would the very end line in the credits say "Thanos will return" and who would the Avengers fight in A4 if there is no villain?!

I like theories, but I hate ones that make zero to none common sense and are pulled out of nowhere despite any logic.

Yeah I was really impressed with Holland's acting there.

sorry too bring this up because i saw it last night and never expected the ending.so im still
in shock mode, assuming the avengers and guardians are gone, how will this play out. in both franchises, new avengers for avengers 4. another story for spiderman, maybe for his next movie maybe set between homecoming and this.
im just kind of confused by what they are going for.

They aren't gone, I don't think. The snap deaths will be undone (my guess is they're all inside the soul stone and will be released at some point in IW2). The only real question is how they'll return, but they will return. For one thing, the Black Panther franchise just kicked off in a major way, he isn't going anywhere.

The only deaths that might be permanent are Loki, Helmdall and Gamora, and even those aren't 100% certain.

You completely missed what he was saying. He said what if Thanos teleported to Titan, THEN turned to dust, putting him inside the soul stone on Soul World (that farm scene at the end.) Then, he specifically stated that Thanos would battle the other "dusted" characters inside the soul stone. Making him the villian in A4 again. Did you even read his post? lol

I think you're very accurate. I believe 100% that the characters that got dusted aren't actually dead, but trapped inside the Soul Stone. As for Thanos also being in the Soul Stone, it's possible, but unlikely. But still, excellent theory you have there, and welcome to the Hype!

Hahaha - I learned a long time ago to not get into it with the Guard. You'll never win. But you will feel like Doctor Strange battling against Dormmamu in an endless time loop where you get killed again and again in horrifying ways.

No you'll win. He will just keep arguing well after he lost. Difference. Hence why I am not replying anymore. My point was already made.

Or perhaps the price of the Soul Stone was the cost of the soul of the person he loved the most.

I understand how you would reach that theory; but, i think there is a number of things you may have missed. Far most, that Thanos is alive on his adopted world enjoying the sunset in the distance, as he heal.

One thing i like to point out from my perspective...a number of people think Gamora is dead. I don't subscribe to that notion. The stone has claim her physical form until her soul is either released or energies are used up. Gamora's soul is what powering the soul stone for now...so her physical body will remain in stasis until the energies are used or again is released.

This is what i think Antmam & the Quantum world will play a huge part in releasing Gamora; and Tony & Nebula having that slight crack at turning the tide in their, and essentially, the Universe's favor. Remember...one of the plots in AM&W is the possibility of pulling Janet out of the Quantum World or Multiverse...which set precedence for doing something similar with Gamora. My theory at least.
