The Avengers Avengers Opening Title sequence

I love opening title sequences, so I'd love one like a combo of TIH and SM-2's, recapping the various origins in some sort of creative, comic book-y way.

I'm for this^. I usually find opening title sequences to be a waste of screen time but in this case I think it will be warranted as,

A)There's A LOT of backstory to the film with 5 previous films feeding into this one

and

B)We can't take for granted that everyone who sees this movie saw all the previous 5(though I hope they did).

Similar to what Doc Jones said, I always imagined this...

Blackness. Silence. The credits begin to play. Slowly, the blackness becomes a murky blue, and, as the camera moves up, we see that we are underwater. We move up and up, and suddenly, the camera is out of the water, in the arctic. There are helicopters and boats everywhere, and lots of complicated-looking machinery. Overhead is an enormous helicarrier.

The credits continue to roll as we are now in a corridor onboard the helicarrier. SHIELD personel move back and forth as a flustered-looking Agent Coulson pushes his way down a narrow corridoe. Finally, he reaches a door. He types in a security code, swipes a card, and the door opens. Coulson steps into an observation deck, full of SHIELD scientists. Nick Fury stands at the head of the room, looking out of the huge front window at the arctic below. Coulson hurries over to him, and, as the last credit shows, says; "We've found him."

Then the camera pans over to Tony Stark sitting in a chair by a table reading some documents asking "WHO??"

Slam cut to the title: "Marvel's THE AVENGERS."

Except the most recent reports from the set of CA:TFA indicate that the Cap Frozen In Ice sequence doesn't happen at all. Seems more like time travel/dimension travel via the Cosmic Cube.

it should be simple, but impressive.. at the same time, I'd rather see a cold open if it means that the actual story time gets cut as a result.. maybe handle it like the recent Star Trek..

The Avengers opening has to be like this. Shot per shot.

Faint noises rise as we decend. Piping, wires, and other assorted mechanical junk pass us by, as we pull down into-

INT. THE HELICARRIER- DAY

As we continue to go lower, we see various activty on board. Something is going on.

We pull lower, into another layer. When we emerge, we are now inside of a small bathroom.

The door opens. And in walks the man himself...TONY STARK.

He shuts the door, and removes his pants. He sits on the toilet, doing his business.

The shot stays on Tony. Never moving. For 3 minutes.

He grunts a few times, and finally, drops his Iron deuce. He waves his hands to waft the sticky fumes from his nasel passages.

He flushes.

WE ARE NOW IN an almost X-Ray like mode. We follow Tony's turd through the plumming, hitting various corners, and pipes, until finally-

It's in the sea. And sinking. We continue to follow the peice of **** all the way down into the depths of the ocean.

Until finally...it lands on an ICE BLOCK. As we pan down we realize the POOP has landed on TOP of CAPTAIN AMERICA!

Smash to black: THE AVENGERS.

^ So you want Robert Downey Jr. to crap on Captain America the same way Tim Story crapped on the Fantastic Four?!
