Pressed CDs last a lot longer than CD-Rs, provided you keep proper care of them.

they're also higher quality sound reproductions than compressed downloads, altho not as good as SACD DVD-A or the lossless soundtracks on a Bluray. loseless flac files are alright but you might as well have the disc with the art in print and rip it yourself.

More proof that Intrada is the frontrunner to do a CD release for The Avengers... they will be announcing their two May 1st releases this week. One is for an upcoming feature film (three guesses who) and a popular, hit TV series now.

The timing is pretty spot on... and I don't think it's any other film in May either.

Intrada will do a pre-announcement listing today around 11:00 a.m. CST/2:00 p.m. EST. It'll include artwork and track listings (no word on samples, but Intrada usually provides several).

Intrada usually does some great artwork, but considering their release will be co-branded as a Disney label, the artwork could be underwhelming.

It figures the score album gets the logo cover as I expected even before the download leaked). And the various artist album gets the Avengers international poster. The score album still looks cool though. Anyways...

Intrada assemble! I'm glad this is getting a pressed cd. I was getting worried. Looks like there's more music than the download b/c the running time is longer. Can't wait.
