I prefer calling him Iron DoomRemember the whole FFINO debacle of 2015? Well say hello to DINO (Doom in name only)
Thats not going to happen, amigo. They're using the Doomsday branding on the largest IP they have now. This IS the Doctor Doom story. We are not getting a new Doom in the near future or punting the ball so he can be a future FF villain. This is it. It's the bullet in the chamber.idk why people are sky is falling mode for this
he's quite obviously going to be some type of variant and not prime victor, who we'll get later on for F4 2/3
plus mcfeely is back writing, we're fine lol
This is their Hail Mary, we are not getting a true Victor Von Doom as Dr.Doom sadly. These are likely the end of Avenger movies for a long time anyways so they don't care. They will focus on X-Men stories and some collabs with X-Men focused stories.idk why people are sky is falling mode for this

They didnt paid RDJ 100Mil+x USD and not showing his face, I doubt that.I'm not a fan of this casting, but I'm not expecting them to actually make this version of Doom actually be (related to) Tony Stark. I imagine he'll just be Victor and RDJ will do a very different voice, and have the mask on most of the time (maybe even do it Mandalorian style with him not even always needing to be on set since he can dub over a body double), and if we see him without the mask he's covered in prosthetics from his face being melted/scarred.
Marvel movie try to do a faithful adaptation of Doctor Doom for once challenge = impossible.Remember the whole FFINO debacle of 2015? Well say hello to DINO (Doom in name only)
again, idk why ppl are thinking this, there were rumors of rdj/doom a few years agoThis is their Hail Mary, we are not getting a true Victor Von Doom as Dr.Doom sadly. They been in this situation before with Mandarin does not make sense to try again story & fan wise. Disney knows RDJ in the MCU equals a billion
If they didn't want him to be related to Stark, they wouldn't have cast Tony StarkI'm not a fan of this casting, but I'm not expecting them to actually make this version of Doom actually be (related to) Tony Stark. Another user presented this idea and let me ask you this: how much did you love Rise of Skywalker? When Snoke died and they subbed him for Palpatine. Or how much would you had loved Deathly Hallows Part 1 if Salazar Slytheran came back from the dead at the very end, murdered Voldemort, and then he was the big bad of Part 2? Bad ideas right? That's what this would be. Spend 2 movies developing 1 villain. Not developing 1 villain for an entire movie for the sake of a swerve. The only thing that has me curious about the Secret Wars logo is the colors of Red and Gold. Maybe RDJ is a variant Doom in Doomsday and he gets killed at the end by the real Doom? Then he plays an Iron Man variant in Secret Wars?
I'm trying to think of ways that would make me like this decision.

We lose the best of Doom and Kang this way. Not ideal at all.I don't see why recasting was such a bad option, instead they are tossing Dr.Doom away a classic villain. He maybe their most classic. RDJ will act it well, but we only get 2 films when we should have Doom around for a longer time.
By not recasting Kang, it seems like they admit they messed up his whole setup. Quantumania was very bad, but now no reason to really watch it again.
Multiverse Madness could have been the setup if Doom was planned.
Now instead of Doom being introduced and setup in F4 for the future we get a rushed one.
