They should've had Jeph Loeb write it.

Fighting is his speciality.

I think it looks fun. Just straight up mindless action with those little "fun facts". I'll buy it. :o

He don't work for DC no more either. After that double deuce he took on Superman and Wonder Woman, he needs to stay as far away from the big two as possible. :o

Actually he's still working for DC with Superman: Earth One volume 2, the Before Watchmen minis based on Nite-Owl and Dr. Manhattan, and Samaritan X.

AvX is one of the worst ideas Marvel's ever had, as far as I'm concerned.

That said, I'll still probably buy the Thor issue, for I am weak. :csad:

I wouldn't say it's a terrible idea necessarily, but when your whole premise is based on a conflict between two protagonists whose characteristics are very off... that's a sure sign of trouble. I can't stand by Cap's position due to his ignorance and crazy Cyclops comes of as that guy from the Waco Siege.

Do you mean the whole event or just the AvX tie-in comic that features the fights already seen in other comics?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a vast difference in terms of strength between the Thing and Namor? Shouldn't that fight be fairly one sided?

To be fair Namor beat Hulk in water

Actually, because it takes place in water it should be one sided in Namor's favor.

Ben has done this song and dance a lot though. I'd say Namor wins this 5 outta 10 times. Unless Ben has righteous fury.

:thing: :thing: :thing:

And I'd have to figure he doesn't even really wanna be there.

Too bad he wasn't with Wolverine instead of Spidey. He already dislikes the turd for clawing his face. I just want to see Ben beating the hell out of Juggy Colossus with Wolverine's unconscious body.

yeah funny how when the superhero registration act happen in cut the superheroes in two and they had qualms abotut fighting eachother. But when it comes to X_men, who know most these characters and have saved the world just as much, the heroes just say screw em.

The X-Men have been outlaws for most of their existence. It's been kind of the mainstream heroes not to hunt them down. So...

:ff: :ff: :ff:

i guess. Until the last couple of years most of these heroes helped the X-men several times. Hell Carol And Jessica Drew hung arounfd the mansion for periods of time. Its changed since M-Day but I still find it hard to belive most these hereos would just run in with blinders on. But yeah it is a Marvel event so I forgot there is no logic.

Don't the X-Men have a Black Ops division now that does wetwork? Aren't they harboring an international terrorist in Magneto?

I don't think the X-Men can be trusted with the Phoenix Force. Period. Cap asked nice. Cyclops shot him.

"Take the beach."

Works for me.

Only problem with your logic is the head of the black ops team who continued it after cyclops closed it is were Caps getting all his info.

And not like Caps never stood up for villains before. Hell Half of them are on the hellicarrier attacking the X-Men.

eh will admit i stepped in it on the hellicarrier one even know red hulk, Haweye, and Black widow were all villians aty one point. But Cap would have no reason to get on Scott about Magneto. Cap has accepted plenty of villians into the Avengers and still belives in Scarlet Witch even though she is the main reason all this is happening in the first place.

Magneto sunk a sub full of sailors right in front of Cap. Emma was responsible for driving the last host of the Phoenix crazy. Beast told him that if the Dark Phoenix ever returned that the planet might not survive.

To be honest, I don't think Scott has much to do with Cap's decisions. Talking to him was just a courtesy.

Dont characters get a chance to reform and do good? Emma's been a heroine since 1994. She's more than proven herself. Magneto hasnt been a villian since 2001. Both have reformed and have done good for humanity and saved the world many times since. I dont think its fair that their past should be held against them nor that it should be a reflection of who the X-men are as a group bc they arent a pack of villians. The group has given these two and others a shot at redemption. I think thats what should count for things. Both of these two have taken advantage of this oppurtunity to do good for themselves, mutantkind and ultimately the world

Franklin has been a kid since the 60's. So in Marvel Time she's probably only been "reformed" for 3 years.

And how many times now has Magneto "reformed"? Three? Four? I believe in redemption. I also believe in going "too far". In my opinion Magneto and Emma went too far.
