Comics Back In Black Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

So you're saying he can't wig out and mirk someone out and realise it was a mistake and never do it again?

You're being ignorant. It's obvious you're the one who's afraid of being man enough to admit your faults.

Peter Parker can do it.

If a comic book character can do it. You should too.

You really aren't that bright aren't you? Read what I wrote. He can wig out and it's within character, not for this extended period of time though and not where he's about ready to take someones life. The Peter Parker that has been written about in Amazing for the past few years is just "off" and this is one more example of it. It'll be interesting to see how they end the storyline off but he shouldn't be in this position to begin with. I will say you're entitled to your opinion however wrong it may be.

Now you're attempting to get personal. I suggest you step it down a notch boy before you get ahead of yourself. You going that "far" just shows how much of an ingrate you are to your own (incorrect) views of the character. You had to go and get insulting to attempt to bring your point ahead. Good Show.

Girls, GIRLS! You're BOTh pretty. Now settle down, or daddy spank! :woot:

Get off your high horse, you've been insulting me from the start. Whats a matter, you can't take your own medicine? You could've politely disagreed with me but you didn't. So I'm playing this at your level. If you don't like it too bad, if you get civil with me I'll get civil with you.
That being said, your grasp of people is highly lacking and you do not understand the character AT ALL, especially when you tried to prove your point by bringing up that he smacked MJ. Understand one simple fact, not all people deal with the same situation the same way. Different people react differently to the exact same thing. How you or I might react in a scenario where someone we love was shot could and should be very different than how Peter would react. And I mean really, look at why the writers have said he's back in the black costume. If they don't understand why he stopped wearing a piece of fabric why should they be able to delve into his personality and understand what makes him tick?

Now as far you CaptainStacy, you don't have to tell me I'm pretty, I already know, although I prefer the term handsome! :word:

Sensational Spider-Man # 38 was definitely awesome and the superior Spider-Man book of the month. Great stuff with Eddie Brock and Sacasa did a great job of wrapping up continuity. It's good to see someone make Millar's Marvel Knights run less useless. Good work Sacasa.

And Amazing was all right. I mean the story is cool and everything but could we move things a little faster? It just seemed that this latest issue was rather unnecessary and could have been told in like the first half of the issue. However, the highlight were the Garney pencils...he's really been stepping it up.

I was thinking the same thing about Garney. He's finally getting the hang of drawing Spidey. For a 3 or 4 issues his art was shoddy but his art has been exceptional since Back in Black started.

Hopefully the story will start speeding up with the next part, with Spidey going up against Kingpin.

Those both look badass. I'm digging the homage to Web of Spidey #1 with the second piece of art. :)

It's sad how much you don't understand spider-man or human nature or the growth of a character. And if you considered my words insulting I suggest siphoning the sand from your vagina and immediately into a *****e. :o

So next issue will be pointless?

I'll like it, I'm sure, but I hate over 4 part stories. I'll get over it, but I feel no one arc should be more than 4 pasts. That feels way too long for no reason.

I want to believe that...I really do.

However watching an "angry" Spider-man get beat around like a pinball by a human is a bit off...:csad:

But really, what does a Spider have against the Kingpin?

The only costumed character who would have even a chance against him would be the Human Bowling ball.

Geddit? Kingpin? Bowling ball?

:csad:

Sorry.

Had to be done.

It's my fault for letting myself get dragged into this, I should know better. But since I'm here, screw it.
You are an ignorant little man. You've been belligerent from the start and have not countered any points I've made. You keep regurgitating the same thing about human nature, blah, blah, blah. Come up with a new point already.
Let me say this again so maybe you're little brain can understand. Different people, react differently, to the same scenario. We are not carbon copies of each other.
While I want to see growth of a character, it should be within reason and fit within continuity. Saying Spider-Man stopped wearing the black and whites because it sent the wrong message is insulting to long time readers (and the character of MJ) because that's not why he stopped wearing it. Having it webbed there for who knows how many years goes against...
Really, why am I bothering? You don't get it, you never will and you don't care to get it. You're going to come back with the same thing, the same comments, the little insults. It's not even challenging and you are really just not worth my time.

Agreed, but it wont be the first time Kingpin has man-handled Spidey...

I really hope that doesn't happen, as much as I've disliked this storyline, I would LOVE to see Spidey lay the smack down on him. It's not looking good though. :csad:

Ok kids, some of you seriously need to lighten up. Be civil without being an ass.

Just got ASM#541 today, looking forward to reading it and then seeing what this
exchange of views/ argument is all about..
