yea that did look good cant wait to read the issue next week. Also yea i agree ssm/fnsm have been good with the back in black storys. It does suck both titles are ending. I do hope amazing is good with coming out 3x a month and i really hope there is no reboot to spidey cause it would be so stupid to do cause no one else is getting rebooted and the whole skrull invasion storyline going on now too. Only thing i like to see happen with the new writers on amazing is the world is mind wiped of his id probably by strange since he is in the OMD story.

and might be the last we get to see spidey vs jj about everything and his unmasking if the new team on amazing 3x a month run are rebooting spidey which i really hope not just some how make id secret again to the world would be nice. As i mentioned before in other posts with the whole skrull invasion going on in 616 verse it would be a stupid move to reboot spidey during this cause it would mess things up.

I dropped New Avengers during the Civil War (got on my last nerve) and don't really have any desire to pick it up again... unless they've decided to feature MORE Spider-Man, and stop making him look like an incompetent, weak, buffoon.

I think it was revealed at the end of NA #31 (or #32) that Elektra, leader of the Hand, was a Skrull. Thus starting the whole "Who else is a Skrull in the MU" as this might be part of a larger Skrull Invasion/Take-Over of Planet Earth, which they've been trying to do since Fantastic Four #2.

Since NA #27, Peter's been acting more like a man instead of a boy, which has been pleasing to this long-time Spidey reader. Issue #27 was also his first post CW appearance in the book sporting his black costume.

I'm not sure I'd call most of it speculation, I believe it was announced that the next big Marvel happening would indeed be the invasion of Skrulls,....which if you've been enjoying the Annihilation series, seems a little, oh I don't know...impossible??...or at least highly improbable,,....but it's not like Marvel are sticklers about continuity

Before Annihilation their empire had already fractured under the rule of rival warlords. During Annihilation the majority of what was left of their holdings was destroyed. The Skrull are literally in shambles.

That being said this so far hasn't been an out-and-out invasion. By that I mean they aren't using warships and such, but rather sleeper agents and the like. Also it wouldn't be too unsound to assume that this plan has been playing out for several years prior to Annihilation.

Exactly. Two scenarios:

1) This invasion force set things in motion long before Annihilation, or even before Galactus destroyed their planet.

2) They are a splinter group looking to re-establish a homeworld for themselves...

Your both right and I always assumed this invasion was set in motion long before annihilation....I'm just speaking from the perspective of a full out war/invasion today, the Skrulls seem incapable of taking over the earth with their descimated numbers....of course we have no idea how many sleeper cells/plants there are here on earth...so we'll see!

Just finished reading FNSM 23. WOW! Peter David is such a great writer. The scene where Peter provokes JJJ to start whaling away on him was great. I also enjoyed the small hint that JJJ is a good-hearted man, confronts Robbie and destroys the pics of himself beating up Peter. Very good issue.

Yea, FNSM 23 was an awesome issue, i was hoping the peter/JJJ conversation was gonna delve a little deeper into their relationship, but it was still a very memorable confrontation. I love how at the end JJ say's " I hate that F.N. Spiderman", clever play with words.
