I wasn't planning to do the midnight thing, but I called and the guy told me it was possible they'll sell out of pre-order copies. I don't know if that's true to be honest, and he said it to me to get me there for a sell or something, but a friend of mine said he kind of wanted to do it as well so I'll probably end up doing it

just ordered it off the best buy website for the dvd pack and 10 dollar gift card.

the dvd is a nice but useless touch, but the $10 will come in handy for when i next buy something at best buy.

game should be in by the end of the week; i can wait. :o

"Unboxing vids"? As in, literal videos of people bringing the CE home, opening it, and going through all the stuff it comes with?
yeah, people do that. I have fetish for unboxing vids, the way thing sound when they are being ripped open for the first time.

This is my first attempt at getting a game via pre-order. I'd like to see when I actually get it with tomorrow being the release date.

Wow, to each his own. :up:
I also like to listen and watch origamis being made, sounds of crinkling paper make me tingle, and I love to listen to Bob Ross speak. I made mp3's out of a few of his shows just to listen to so I can fall asleep. *looks at Corp with wild stare* Ok! Back to topic! :woot:

Haha, that's kind of cool, I guess. I've never really had that kind of appreciation for sounds, myself.

My Collector's Edition (from Game.co.uk) is being held for credit checking. I hope they ship it tomorrow morning and hopefully, I'll have it by Friday Sept. 4th (since I'm from Greece and it takes a little longer to arrive sometimes).

speaking of sounds, I like what I've heard so far in the game previews and the demo as far as sound fx, music, and voice acting. My cousin liked the BTNAS gadget sound fx, especially the batarang. I always wondered how Bat's didn't always blow his cover when using his grappling gun in the animated show, it sounded like a real gun going off. At least in this game, it's alot more subtle, but still, in the demo, I zip past a thug going to my gargoyle, and he doesn't notice me when I'm basically face to face zipping along.

I just got the greatest phone call ever, it went something like this!!!:D:up:

"Hi, this is Ashley from Gamestop, calling to let you know that, Batman: Arkham Asylum will be arriving tomorrow morning and that I need to get a date and a real job, thank you, good bye!!!":twisted::twisted::twisted:

YAY, the crazy chick on the phone says it comes tomorrow WOO HOO lol!!!
:oldrazz::D

Normally I'm not a fan of movies influencing other adaptations of big comic characters, but the main "action theme" (for lack of a better description) from The Dark Knight works so well for Batman that I'm glad they included it in this game. It really gets your blood pumping and puts you in the mood to take some thugs out to dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Pain. :up:

Yeah I totally am digging the soundtrack!

Played some of the first part today at Gamestop even though it froze halfway through. They have the full game in some of the kiosks. Basically the entire beginning where you walk Joker and his escort guards to his typical cell, all during which you have full control of Bats, it's an in-game engine scene. I got to use the scan and what not, and view him up close to see if he had weapons on him, etc. The dialogue is pretty funny during the whole scene.

I probably won't wear anything special to GameStop if I do the midnight thing. I'm wearing a FLCL shirt right now, so I'll probably be wearing that still if I go. That's kind of special in its own right, though, so I maybe I will be doing something special
