Batman: Arkham Asylum

One thing I love about the forensic trails is Batman switching his detection modes, just like in Predator 2.

I haven't even tried looking for the Riddler challenges. I just seem overwhelmed with the amount of items I need to search for.

That sounds like one of those where you have to go into Detective mode and find the pointed on question mark and period, line them up and then scan them. Just browse the room in DM and see if you can find the mark with the dot and the dot should be pretty close.

Ahhhh, yea i found the question mark just didnt even realize there was no period under it. Nice.

Just got to the fight with Bane. Wow what a fun game,
the first encounter with Scarecrow is amazing, it was so creepy to open those body bags and finding Bruce's parents.

The game is completely and overwhelmingly addictive

I just played the game for a few hours, it's FREAKING AWESOME,:eek::up: 10/10 confirmed!!!:o:D:up:

I've been playing it for a total of four, maybe five hours, and I've got to say... this really is the best superhero game yet. I thought all of that talk would simply be hyperbole brought on by the fact that it's a Batman game, combined with the need for it to be better than previous disappointments in the franchise. But holy crap, it not only manages to live up to the hype, but it surprises you in how in-depth it really is.

For those who played the demo, and was let down by how repetitive it seemed, fear not. The actual game itself manages to mix it up with a good variety of tactics and strategies for finding clues, locating alternate entrances, taking out henchmen, and rescuing hostages. Even the sections of the demo are switched up, going from one portion into a completely different portion before returning to that last challenge room. The demo is nothing like the experience of playing the actual game, and I think that was a very smart move on Eidos' part. They teased as much as they should have, while leaving out plenty to get a player invested in the game, even if said player has played the demo hundreds of times. (Like I had)

I also love how, in this game, no boss fight seems like a one-and-done confrontation. I've already fought Harley, Scarecrow, Bane, and Zsasz, and each one is given enough room for a return before you're done (I already know Harley and Zsasz have more to do, based off of trailers and FMV sequences alone). The Riddler challenges are really fun, too. They really up the ante in replayability, given how massive the island is and how spread out each question mark is placed.
Overall, even as a fan of comic books more than Batman himself, you should get this game. Game this game now and make love to it.

Alright I'm stuck. I'm looking for Dr. Young and I'm at a part where I have the to save two hostages who are beneath a glass floor. You can't blow it up using your gel and the only thing thats lit up in Detective mode is the chandelier. I don't know what the hell to do

I don't have the game, but...it seems pretty obvious from the details you've given that you're supposed to make the chandelier fall down on said glass. Throw a batarang at it. :o

Climb climb climb climb. Look for vents.

The Scarecrow encounter.......

WOW!

Thats all i can say. I just LOVE Scarecrows portrayal in this game. I hope the first time you encounter him isnt the last.

This game is insanely addictive, I've been playing for the last three hours and I am blown away by how engaging the gameplay is. A.A blows the doors off all previous batman titles.

It isn't. I just reached the portion of the game where he attacks you again, right out of the Arkham Library.

No superhero game to date has captured its character(s) the way this game has. Im just past the first boss fight but this game is just incredible.

So if I download this to my 360, the graphics are better? I've never downloaded a retail game to my 360 because it seems pointless.

Again I've done this too but the vents lead no where

At that end room that the vents lead to, where there seems to be nothing, go to the far right of the room and look up. A grapple point should show up.

I know this because I was briefly stuck there, aswell.
