Batman: Arkham Asylum

Ah, ok, if that's where that is from, then that's why I didn't get it.

I've never seen Anchorman. :csad:

It's easily one of the funniest movies in existance. So, quoteable to as you can tell by the past few posts.

Hey guys. I just visited the Bat Cave. Was that THE bat cave, or another sort of satellite cave Batman had built close to Arkham?

Also, what happens to Bane after I crash the batmobile into him?

Batman explained in his discussion with Oracle as he entered the Batcave that he built it as a secondary for just an occurance like what happened. That way he has stuff there he can use.

Second, one of the ending cutscenes explain where Bane is.
Still in the water and his hand pops out and grabs a titan canister

It was a different cave that Batman built over the years. He mentions it when you go there the first time.

Yeah but I mean . . . I dunno it seemed convenient at the time, but wouldn't Batman be worried about Bane drowning or something? Bane didn't look like he was coming up for air, and besides that that means Bane is basically on the loose in the river.

not really....Batman doesn't worry...and Bane being loose is small potatoes compared to what Joker had going on at the time

have to squeeze some more money out of the Wayne Enterprises R&D budget for that....

Hands down, favorite Joker line is after you first catch sight of Scarecrow.

I'm paraphrasing...

"What are you really afraid of, Bats? Failing to rescue the commissioner? Losing the city to a bunch of maniacs? Me... IN A THONG?!" (Followed by high-pitched fake scream.)

Kills me everytime.

YES this one is my favorite but i've heard the other one so many times its burned into my brain

I loved this game purely for the little touches it had...the attention to detail but the bit i really liked was when you go into the medical facility later in the game a phonecall occurs over the desk and you hear joker talking to some woman looking for her husband and he's like 'Is mike here? let me see...hmmm ive found his head ill let you know if the rest of him turns up' and then has a really sinister laugh...brilliant...love the stealth missions too...although how some people have got 30 seconds and hit all three trophies is beyond me...its not physically possible..

I just finished the Croc section on hard last night.

Have I mentioned how much I hate how they handled Croc in the game?

Stupid crawl mission and no boss fight payoff at the end. :argh:

Ya know I liked the Croc mission. It was a nice change of pace from the other "toss a batarang to stun, and then beat the snot out of them" boss fights before it. I liked the variation of the Croc and Scarecrow's levels. I thought Croc was cool because it had a "shoe's on the other foot" feel where Batman is the hunted as opposed to the hunter.

I thought all the boss fights were handled well.I was actually nervous during the Croc level.I thought they handled it well. Also loved the Scarecrow sections last one especially.Poison Ivy boss battle was awesome,Bane could have been better but was still good.Only slightly dissappointing one was the final boss.

Some of the sections were great, but it's a stretch to call any of them boss fights.

Bane and Ivy were the only legitimate boss fights in the game.

Joker, Scarecrow, and Harley were just thug busting exercises.
Croc wasn't even that, it was just a sneak and leave mission.

Plus I was tired of fighting Bane by the fifth or sixth time I had to fight him.

The only major weak point this game had was its pure lack of any actual bosses. The rest was awesome though.

So I decided to pick this and MUA2 up about two weeks ago (Best Buy had some platinum rewards member thing going on, both were only 39.99). It's a lot better than I thought. The combat I still think is lacking and all you really ever have to do is hit X when timing counters or stuns depending on who youre against. I mean, the first few battles I was completely chaining the entire group without getting hit. Haflway through when there was 10 guys attacking I was running the entire group down without getting hit but once or twice. On the hardest difficulty.

I love the detecive stuff in it though. Riddlers things per room are awesome, the way you find clues and **** like Gordons Pipe. All, top notch.

Just completed the game. Fantastic, worth every cent.

I would of loved if Batman let the titan take over to fight Joker.

.. this is the first or second doodle I ever did for the Joker design... initially, there was the idea floating around that the Joker could be decked out as a 'mad scientist'. Also, I wasn't sure how far Eidos was trying to push the Joker's gruesomeness, so I did a few tries with the heavily scarred and torn mouth, but there was too much of a resemblance to Heath Ledger's Joker, so we eventually went a different route.

This is the process I absolutely LOVE about design in general: the exploration of ideas... just throwing ideas at the wall and seeing what sticks, BUT like I said before, the Joker was one of the hardest designs to nail down.

I'm glad they went with the design they did...I like him much better.

I'm at the final part of the game on hard. Almost have it done for a second time.

After that I need to finish the challenges. :(

I like how the challenges can show just friend results.

I don't like that only one of my friends have the game :(

Very glad they didn't do the scarred mouth or the mad scientist look for the Joker. The look they went with is perfect.

Yea Jokers design in the game was great. A mix of a lot of different representations of the character. Really liked it.

I thought the game Joker looked like a more detailed version of the TAS version which works since it's Mark Hamill.
