That sucks that Heath Ledger won't be able to use his voice to voice the Joker in this game, especially since it takes place after TDK. Hamill would be ideal for it, since Heath can't.

This isn't the game that takes place after TDK. This is based only on the comics. The movie game (that takes place after TDK) is being developed by Pandemic.

Conroy and Hamill would be awesome.

Yeah i have a feeling they will be doing the voices. Esp. since Dini is involved.

Even if he was alive I wouldn't want Ledger to voice the Joker here. I am a huge fan of the animated series, and to me, Hamill's voice is who I always hear if I think of the Joker.

To me they did the right thing. In fact I hope they use most of the actors from the animated series to voice the villians.

Couldn't agree more. Ledger is my definitive film Joker, but Hamill's interpretation is my favorite for the all around tone of the character.

Wait, it's confirmed that Hamill will be voicing the Joker?

Really? I could have sworn that I read something about that.

This game is completely seperate from the Nolan-verse.

This is the game I'm looking forward to out of the two games, since this pulls from the comics and has a fantastic writer behind it.

Well, I would be fine with either but I just think Ledger could do a nice job too, though Hamill would be ideal for it.

Well I hope we get some footage soon for it.

Yeah hopefully, but look at the graphics for this game. Simply stunning. The gameplay is the only thing to worry about really, until we get some footage. The story can't be too bad with Dini writing it.
The technical aspects are just as important in making a solid game. The graphics and art direction may be nice, but it won't matter at all if the framerate and animations are pure crap.

According to the article in GI, yes.
No, it's not. It's mere speculation who is doing the Joker voice, as is every other character in the game.

One more day guys!!!!!!!!I'm so hyped!!!!!!!!!Maybe the footage of a trailer will be shown in a day.

Batman Arkham Asylum looks like the best Batman game yet. While the release date is probably mid to late 2009, at least Batman fans can play as him in...Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe while waiting. Is there any info on the Batman game pandamic is making?

Let's hope the release is early 2009, maybe idk spring?
84,560 seconds left!!!!!!!!Maybe a trailer will be shown.

Hamill is great, I'll always love TAS, But does he NEED to do this joker? After seeing Heath Ledger do his version I started to like a deeper voiced joker, it makes him scarier IMO. The high pitched laugh is of course a prerequisite, but I really think another voice actor should be used. Of course if Conroy is on board they MUST have Hammill.

In my opinion, Hamill should be used. To me he is the voice of the Joker. It's not a knock to Ledger, who did great, but Hamill voices the part perfectly.

I'd be in favor of Hamill if he continues his Joker voice from ROTJ. He was a lot more serious in that one, and was less prone to speaking in high-pitched tones.

I don't have a problem with casting Hamill for Joker in this game. Ledger is imo the greatest Joker incarnation on film, but that is not to say that for other mediums (cartoon, game, etc), they shouldn't get anyone else. And since Ledger's dead already, it's not like they have a choice between Ledger and Hamill anyway.

The screenshots look fantastic, although I'm a bit iffy about the over the Resident Evil 4 style camera. Over the shoulder works great for shooters, but for action games it's not very effective, and it probably means that this game will have the dreaded "racecar" style control setup.

If it were up to me, I would either go with dramatic fixed camera angles like what you'd see in older Resident Evil games or the Silent Hill series. Or, if they wanted to really have a "Bioshock" feel, I would have actually considered doing the game in first person with third person elements. It worked marvelously for Chronicles of Riddick, so I think that it would have been a neat expiriment. But I can imagine that the marketing department wouldn't like that, since the average customer is going to buy the game and want to see Batman all the time.

Yea, I wouldn't have been interested in the game at all if it was in first person.
