OK, so the game arrived last night and spent a good two-three hours with it. The thing that hit me was the information overload - there's just so many things you can do as Batman, it's jarring at first. And since I didn't play the demo, this was my first time with the game and I loved it. And the combat is really something. It didn't look that impressive when I saw it in the videos, but now that I've played it myself I can see that it was the player that was lacking, not the game itself. I just go stand still in the middle of a group of enemies and just counter and cape stun like crazy - it looks amazing and almost like a film fight scene. You truly do get the feel that as Batman, your opponents are ridiculously outmatched.

I hear that this is a short game, but it feels like one of those titles gets better as you get better at it.

An interesting comment I had read in a review was that the combat is "easy to learn, but hard to master". Which is an interesting way to look at it, I think.

Is anyone else having problems getting they're DLC to launch? I hear alot of people are having issues with it. Could just be that the codes need activation, though...

I played the demo, that game is pretty cool.

The story seems...iffy. But, the gameplay is tons of fun.

I wonder if we'll see more games like that pop up, now, too. With the impressive, 2D graphics and gameplay.

No, hes talking about the underlying themes to the story. Being that the game is set in a particular universe and the bad guys happen to be of a certain political slant. But thats for another thread.

Good

Story mode really sucks you in.
Uncomplicated combat is fast-paced and looks fantastic.
Tons of cool stuff to unlock, including Challenge mode maps.
Audio and visual presentation is uniformly impressive.
You won't want to stop playing even after you've solved all 240 riddle.

Bad

Too tempting to play through the entire game in detective vision mode.
Supervillains that you don't get to fight feel like missed opportunities.

Doesn't it mimic the time of day or something? If it's blueish I think it means its day time, or something.

I dunno. The moment I got my PS3, I downloaded the MGS4 theme and have kept on ever since.

It always has changed by month. Ever since I got mine in November 06 it has. Nothing to worry about it goes to black at night. You can in settings make it stay on a single color, if you so choose.

He killed my ****ing system. Well, more appropriately Bane probably did. I just finished beating him and my system crashed and it won't recognize discs anymore. Contacted customer service and we did some stuff to no effect. Going to have to send it in.
