Shweet. I made it 20th on the leaderboards in the Survival Tactics challenge map.

I put in about a 9 and 1/2 hour session last night..., *wakes up* ahem, from around 1 am to 10:30 am today and am only at about 25%, but I like taking my time and soaking it all in!!!up: I love the character designs of the game, Scarecrow's design in the game is the best version I've seen of the character, weather in comics or games, imo, his missions are an awesome part of the game!!! Killer Croc looks freaking awesome in this as does The Joker and the rest of The Arkham Bunch!!! The atmosphere in the game is palpable, it's a fantastic achievement in scope and scale, as well as detail and beauty, no other game to date has made me feel as much like The Dark knight!!!

Need help, i'm stuck.

Only 4% in...at a part where there's joker gas in the room. Theres a thug hanging by a chain from across the room.

I used a batarang to turn on one of the fans. Been looking for the other two switches but i'm gettin frustrated.

Trust me, I wouldn't be asking for help if I wearn't gettin irritated by now. Could someone just throw me a bone and tell me where the other two switches are?

Scarecrow is awesome. All he needs is his hat. He also looks like he doesn't have a shirt on so I'd make that more obvious. Other than that, his design is incredible and I'd love to see it in some comics. I want to watch the TNBA episode "Over the Edge" after playing his levels.

I don't care for the Killer Croc Hulk/Lizard hybrid they have in this game. I think the Croc from Broken City is more interesting. But the former is better to fight against in a game.

I love how the enemies taunt you when you die. It's almost like you want to die 2-3 times to see their taunts. Everyone should die at least 3 times against Bane to see him break Batman's back.

im fighting her right now...i died once and am taking a break cause my eyes feel burnt crispy from playing that game so long...i absolutely hate this chick

The atmosphere in this game is amazing. It really feels like there's no where to run. You're the god damn Batman so you have no trouble taking out random thugs but you know there's something much more sinister hiding behind that door or in the sewers.

I'd like to see a sequel (there HAS to be one) give you free access to Gotham like the TDK game was supposed to do. It would be interesting to see how they'd make it work.

Without looking for a single Riddler challenge, prob 7 or so hours. Trying to find as many as you can pushes it to like 10-12. Im about 7 or 8 hours in and havent quite reached the 50% mark yet.

Well if ya havent figured it out yet, one of the fan controls is in the room directly below that thug on the rope. Cut the rope, the thug will smash through the glass on top of that room and you should have access to the panel. The other one i believe is on the left hand side wall when you first enter the room.

so here's a story that may amuse some of you. I wind up having to stay late at work last night. I eventually leave, get to Best Buy about 7ish and pick up my copy. On the way home, my girlfriend calls and she says she wants to see me since it will be the last chance for about a week since I have family coming into town for the next 5 or 6 days amd we're sort of newly together and not at the "meet my family" stage yet.

As I sheepishly stare at that B:AA game sitting on the passenger seat, I hesitantly agree to see her. I get home, get changed, girlfriend shows up, B:AA sits lonely on the end table. We go out, come home late, I crash out. Still havent cracked the seal on B:AA.

I wake up this morning, say "hello" to B:AA, get ready for work and think to myself well I'll just play it when I get home today. On my way driving to work this morning, it then hits me, I have to entertain family from out of town for the next 5 days (hence the reason the gf wanted to see me last night) so I STILL WONT GET TO PLAY B:AA

So yeah, I bought B:AA, but it will sit lonely and unopened until Monday.

Now see, ...I've got a pretty strong will. I was able to walk away from cigarettes after smoking for nearly 24 years. ....Cold Turkey. It's been 11 months to the day. Still goin strong.

BUT. It would take an act of god to keep me away from this game for 5 days like that, just seeing it sitting there unwrapped. Aw gawd. No way. Wouldnt be able to do it.

I played from about 10:30 at night to 6:30 in the morning, and I think I'm only at like 23% complete. I love just sneaking around, looking for Riddler's challenges... I'm getting all 240 of them, just to shut that smug sum***** up.

I'm at the part where Harley has electrified the floor. I beat her goons and she escaped, but how do I get to her/and or turn the floor off? I used that signal jammer thing but the floor is still electrified.

[blackout]Weird. It should have turned off. Might be a glitch. The floor doesn't kill you instantly so if you have enough health, you might be able to glide down and quickly run to where Harley went.[/blackout]

Look for a control room that you can enter and there should be a box there that you can jam in order to turn off the electricity on the ground. I think that's the answer but I forgot.

Just beat the story mode..I gotta say I'm a little disappointed.

For a game with an environment where we could have had ANY villain appear, we didn't get much.

1.) Joker
2.) Harley Quin
3.) Bane
4.) Zsasz
5.) Ivy
6.) Scarecrow
7.) Croc


That's it? I thought this was supposed to be the longest night of Batman's life? The Riddler doesn't even make a visual appearance? Two-face is teased at the end?

We go into an AVIARY and get no Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin? We see a Black Mask hanging on the Doctor's office wall but no Roman Sionis/Black Mask? No Mr. Freeze? We see Scarface but not the Ventriloquist? We're teased at Basil Karlo/Clayface, even makes a cameo but no fight?

This game could have been AMAZING. Instead it was good/very solid.

In the Batcave after it's breached by Ivy's plants it couldn't have woken up a sleeping Man-Bat?

We just got a lot of no-name thugs from Black Gate...not even like Lyle Bolton/Lock-Up, Deadshot, Deathstroke, or the Trigger Twins.

Villains that should have been in the game were:

-Pengiun
-Riddler
-Mr. Freeze
-Man-Bat
-Clayface
-Black Mask
-Lock-up
and either:
-The Trigger Twins
-Deadshot
-Slade Wilson

That would have stretched the story out. I hate the Poison Ivy levels, she's such a terrible villain. She's only good as an ecological terrorist and extortionist, not a mutant.

I'm just kinda "meh" on the story. It was a fun game, but I was always waiting for the "cool part". Waiting to see some famous rogue from Batman's world...I was disappointed. Even Batman: Dark Tomorrow packed almost as many villains into the game while in Arkham than a game CALLED Batman: Arkham Asylum could.

Villains faced while IN Arkham in Dark Tomorrow:
1.) Joker
2.) Croc
3.) Ivy
4.) Zsasz
5.) Freeze
6.) Rat-catcher (on the way into the Asylum through the sewers

Villains out of the Asylum:
1.) Ventriloquist
2.) Black Mask
3.) Ubu
4.) Ra's Al Ghul

I'm not comparing these games in quality....just in story and use of the environment.

This is a solid double, but should have been a home run.


A lot of missed opportunities.

The Scarecrow parts were pretty awesome (though did get a tad redundant) but they made him interesting. Even Ivy's fight wasn't bad. They could have come up with great boss fights for the other villains and incorporated them, too.
