Good point. But look at Resident Evil or Splinter Cell. After about three games they change it up. Resident Evil 4 and Splinter Cell DA were very different. Gears only has two games, while after Halo 3 they did change it up, ala Halo Wars.
 
I don't think they need to change Arkham Asylum. I think they finally nailed the PERFECT Batman game. The only thing I would like to see is them to continue to develop expansions of other villain plots and even Graphic Novel inspired plots. The game's selection menu could be the Batcave and to go to the area (ex: Arkham Asylum, maybe downtown Gotham, Wayne Enterprises, The Docks and Narrows perhaps, City Hall (including the DA's office and the Police Station)) and do the missions for that area. Once they've released those environments they could even release more missions for those maps. To make it seem a bit more like free-roam (without actually doing free-roam) your load screen could be the Batmobile driving to the next location kind of like how FIFA does shoot-outs during it's load time.
 
I'm kinda stuck. I'm at the part where you're tracking Gordon with his pipe tobacco and you find where Harley is and she tells you to find another way. I've found the door that can be easily exploded, but I can't find a way to it. There are 2-3 Grapple places near it, but nowhere I can access it. Help?
 
Just beat it. Worst. Final Boss. Ever.

I got Bane in my ending. Is it random or does it depend on a certain completion percentage? I got everything except stuff from the penitentiary. I didn't realize the area you enter for the final boss is separate from the area you previous explored.
 
Wait? So there's multiple endings?

Right outside the warden's office is a room in the ceiling you can grapple up to. There are three teeth in the back of that room behind some bookshelves (one is around the corner from the others). I bet those are the ones you're missing.

Just to add to your post...

There's a destructible wall in the ceiling you use the Batclaw on. It's right above you as you walk in the Warden's office.

There are 2 Joker Teeth when you walk to the end. The between the filing cabinets and the wall.

I'm already getting used to the idea of "No Man's Land" free roam Gotham City!
 
This game was very Die Hard in that your locked up in hostile place with no with no means of help and to top it all off something very bad is gonna happen if you don't stop it. What I'd like to see is the game go 24 where Batman gets wind of a plan before its hatched and has to spend time going through the Gotham underworld to get to the bottom of this devious plot.

I'd like to have access to all his vehicles at my as well as the batcave.Having to walk everywhere worked while you were playing in story mode cause of snipers,insane patients,pod plants, and the normal thugs. However when you spending time collecting riddles after the story is concluded a batmobile sounds nice even a batcycle could be useful. My only problem with a free world game is all the empty buildings.They always seem to end up being decorations and not something you can interact with in the game.If they are gonna do the game in the heart of Gotham I'd like less quanity and more quality when it comes to buildings.I'd like buildings I can enter and do stuff in.

BTW if they aren't gonna do the game in Gotham one possible location I wouldn't mind being stuck in is in the home of the Dragon's Head.Also Paul Dini as writer and the rest of the cast I'd like them to come back as well.
 
Watching a Let's Play of Arkham Asylum makes think that Nolan could take a few tips in terms of presentation. If only Mr. Ledger was still with us, the first 10 mins of the game would have been an awesome way to open the next movie.
 
So true about the next movie and Ledger going to into Arkham would of been sweet and some of the martial art moves wouldn't be bad either in a movie. Although I tend not to question anything Nolan does when it comes to Batman. Same goes for Dini those guys really get the Dark Knight.

so ive been playing this through meticulously and slowly trying to be as much like the batman aspossible - think I am about 25% through the game and roughly 30% of riddler challenges

what are everybodys favourite easter eggs?? calender mans cell is the coolest one I have found so far and I saw a poster for penguins club too....oh yeah and mr freezes cell was quite cool as well
 
this game, well the flow of it, reminded me of Winback for the N64...you have to double back through certain areas and all that
 
Wait for him to roar and start charging, batarang him, dodge, and then move in while he's stunned and mash the strike button. It should go into a slow-mo scene of Batman jumping onto Bane's back and ripping out his Venom pipes. Rinse and repeat, dodging or fighting the other goons that appear as necessary, and you should be done after like 3 of those slow-mo scenes, I think.
 
you know what would be spectacular dlc?

online survival challenge!
you team up with up to 2 other players online to survive as long as possible in predator mode with no way to up your health - you get hit that health is gone (well maybe a bit of a replenish every 5 rounds or something) rounds get progresivly harder (more bad guys more aware bad guys etc)
players can be batman, robin 1 2 and 3, batgirl, nightwing

will never happen I know that but it would be awesome to the max

If you can find the time, and have the upgrade, laying explosives around also works wonders. Detonating around him counts as throwing a batarang, but it also stuns enemies as well. So you can detonate them to blind Bane and have him run into a wall (so you can then rip out his pipes) while at the same time stunning enemies so that they're across the room by the time you're jumping on Bane.

How do you separate the percentages?
 
when I got to the cells I actively looked for Calendar Mans cell....just read The Long Halloween again
