Batman: Arkham Knight

Yea thats the easiest explanation, but who knows, there could be something more to it. The Earth One graphic novel did something similar in that, the Waynes death wasn't just random.

True,In that one they still died in a random mugging but Penguin had sent out people to kill Thomas cause he was running for Mayor,It could be similar here where he knew people wanted him dead

So when is this game supposed to be released?

Cool mosaic poster.

yeah the whole Thomas Wayne will, with Feargas and the story concluding, it's kinda foreshadowing we will/might see the Joker and Wayne family come and haunt Bruce, you know, classic hero is in doubt, but overcomes his doubts and emerges anew.

I think and hope Joker is simply referenced

We got Christmas with Origins and now Halloween with Arkham Knight, ah yes! My two favorite holidays!

The whole game's story takes place on Halloween?,The Long Halloween inspired is cool but in was hoping it'd take place at different times this time like over the course of a few weeks or something

So...we're going to get the classic rooftop meeting with Gordon? I'm going to be as excited for that as when we finally got it in Batman Begins, considering how long it took to get such an iconic scene.

Very excited to see how the Batmobile plays. From everything I'm reading here, it pretty much sounds like the Tumbler. And, I'm always happy whenever they put the costume change as in-fiction writing, too, like they did with it in The Dark Knight.

I posted this a few pages back, but man I'm psyched to see what Rocksteady will do with an uncompromised version that does not need to work on the 360/PS3.

Batman stories usually have the best feel in the holiday season! Snow and Batman work quite well together. I feel like Batman does the most work in October-December lol.

Doesn't dimish the story arc at all, that's like dimishing Terry Batman stories. Not to mention Thomas Wayne's story effects Batman as seen in JL.

Bruce is still present in Terry Batman stories and his influence is still there. Thomas Wayne Batman is an entirely different character, different morals, different worldviews, different tactics, etc. The idea itself is stupid though. That is, the idea that anyone who would have been there that night was destined to become the "world's greatest tactician". Bruce's specific age and psychology is what played a significant factor in him being Batman.

Each for their own. Earth One is well received, top selling and is being an influnece on Alfred Pennyworth.

Johns didn't come up with that characterization of Alfred. It was thrown around by writers long before. The first time I think it was first pitched was back in the early 2000's when they were working on the (cancelled) Bruce Wayne TV show. But even if he did come up with that idea, having a few good ideas does not make the overall product good.

It's wonderful. You'd hate it probably. :word:

I'll read it eventually, but I'll take The Batman's word on the book's Batman for now.

Could the Arkham Knight be related to the "Watcher" side mission in "Arkham City"?

Lol, way to dimish Terry as a character, he becomes a hero of his own right.

Wayne has the same money and dedication as his son, where do you think Bruce inherited his stubborness?

I need a source.

Batman: Earth One is a good product and one being an influence. You can dislike it, but it's a top seller.

Bwhahahahahaaaaa.

Ah fanboys. They never change.

Batman must have hate holiday season! I mean on Christmas 8 Assassins are after him now this new villain is after him on Halloween. LOL

Now that I think of it, Batman works better than any other superhero, IMO, during a holiday setting. I don't know why, but it just works.

Can't wait to see gameplay footage and I love that they're setting this around Halloween!

A shame this is Rocksteady's last Batman game,Hopefully they are just moving on to other heroes though or possibly multiple like a JLA game

I think it's due to Gotham City.

I mean, a Spidey game during Christmas would be neat because NYC gets insane about Christmas, but for Halloween or any other superhero, it's just not the same with Batman.

Good to see the city will be empty of civilians. Hopefully they manage to keep it feeling alive, one of my issues with Origins was that the larger space resulted in something a little lifeless.

I'm sure it'll be fine but I'm not crazy about the idea of a new original villain, I'm not sure if Rocksteady can pull that off. Well I guess we will see. My guess is that it'll either be Joker, Batman himself or Azrael.

Also not crazy about that armor.

Summer Batman ftw:
