Batman: Arkham Origins - Part 1

So glad to know that Conroy is back. I wasn't against the idea of someone else voicing Batman in the Arkhamverse. But all things considered? I'll pick Conroy everytime, all the time.

The Deathstroke DLC sounds interesting, I hope it's not a challenge map. Playing as him in a little story DLC could be cool. Or hell, even playing around Gotham as Deathstroke would secure my pre-order in a heartbeat.

Being able to free roam around Gotham as Deathstroke would be great.

If it's not possible on the consoles, at least I know someone will make a Mod for the PC. I think that way you were able to prowl Arkham City with Robin and Nightwing.

For those who have the high end hardware, the PC does offer the best experience because of the modding community and resources. A possibility is that the intervals would be similar to that of Catwoman, in AC.

Conroy being back in the saddle makes me feel better about the game because Conroy is the voice of Batman.

I wonder if Conroy will try to add any youthfulness to the voice in this. I hope he does, although he doesn't seem to have the range with it as he did starting out on The Animated Series.

Id assume. He's an experienced actor and no one in the field knows the character better. Im sure he'll do something a little different.

I still ain't excited about Conroy until it's officially confirmed by hearing him in a trailer,I just don't get why WBM would say he's not back and made those comments,IF they wanted to cover it cause of a ND contract then they just shouldn't have said anything or simply tease Conroy maybe not returning.

As for Deathstroke..I'd love a story DLC about his POV of the main story!

Really, like in AC when he's talking to Jack Ryder in the beginning and Conroy was too lazy to even try to do a Bruce Wayne voice. Again this is not Conroy's fault but more natures fault. Just listen to his voice and passion in the 90s. This is 20 years later and he doesn't sound the same. Period. If he did I would have no problem keeping him. But since the quality is not the same his voice comes off as tired, bored, and old. People have just gotten so used to it they can't judge him. Again play back a BTAS series voice over and listen to AC or injustice and listen to the boredom he performs with now. I thought him not getting this job would be good for him and this game. He would know for now on he can't keep mailing it in.
IMO it's more of the process of video game voice recording and a lack of a true director to give him direction. He talks in that interview about how hard the video game process is in terms of keeping the character alive compared to how it was with the show.

Every actor I've heard them cast that's not Conroy just doesn't sound right to me. I'm sure there are other actors who can do it, but imo they have never cast one yet that does the character as much justice.

Could be that they sacked him or Conroy is back for Arkham 3

Batman: Arkham Origins Official Trailer

Looks awesome

Beautiful graphics. I just wish we'd seen some gameplay.

Good god... the action was fantastic. That's the kind of stuff I want to see in movies. And it's cool to see that the Assassins are getting in each other's way. Everyone wants the price money for themselves.

So Conroy is not voicing Batman after all in Origins!?

With Batman disarmed and stunned by a leaner, more true-to-the-comics Bane

Looks like im gonna pre-order to play as Deathstroke. But that trailer was awesome. Would love to see a JL game made like this.

the Joker (now voiced by Troy Baker after Mark Hamill made good on his promise that Arkham City was his last turn in the role),

This Batman, voiced by Roger Craig Smith (of Ezio, Sonic, and Chris Redfield fame) is described as being more primal, more vicious -- his fighting style raw and unrefined. Just as his enemies are younger and more vibrant, so is Batman, with an armor style that closer resembles Christopher Nolan’s films than anything we’ve seen in previous games. But despite all of these mostly thematic changes, much of what Batman: Arkham Origins is built upon is very, very familiar.
