I wonder what's up with Bane ?In the spoiler video Batman was confused to why bane would take the job as a hire assassin, also he was shocked that Bane was in Gotham, like if it was something unpredictable or something. MY ps3 broke, so I guess I am going to spoil myself. Maybe bane was with Bruce during his time training with the league of Assassins/Shadows?

I don't think I would call it a 'backlash', but honestly, do people not see how some would see the inclusion of the Joker yet again as a disappointment? It'd be like every story arc in the Batman comic featured the Joker. I don't think it's really a Joker thing either, just a tired overuse of the character. I thought it was dumb in AC honestly. The story was nice, and it was cool what they did with the Joker, but it definitely gives it a tired feeling even with it only being the second installment.

That being said, I still played AC, and I'll still play this one eventually. I don't think anyone is out to boycott the game because of the Joker, but I don't think we should put it above that criticism simply because it's a Batman game.

I mean as I said I don't mind it so I'm fine with it. But why don't you that are against it wait to play the game, and see how it's done and plays out? You might enjoy it it might be done well enough like AC. The overall gameplay and experience will still be awesome I'm sure as well.

Oh definitely. It's just that these news striked us as very disappointing and thus the reactions reflect that. It's definitely a "Wait and see" thing, it might turn out not as horrible as some of us think. It's just that, at least for me, when I read these spoilers, I felt a big sigh inside me because I had really looked forward to see another villain being the main bad.

Joker taking the spot light time and time again makes Batman's rogues list look weaker than it should. To me, Batman is up there with Spidey when it comes to awesome villains, and it feels like a waste of potential when you only let Joker be the A-lister in the games.

I knew the game called for him to establish that he's the biggest mo fo that Batman will ever come across.
So this plot twist doesn't surprise me at all.

No, the game is not going to be horrible. If anything, it's just going to be like Arkham City. A game that is fun to play, starts out great, but towards the end you just start to sigh, because you know the Clown is going to be the boss again.

Got this game a few hours ago. Great surprise to start out the day, I wasn't expecting it til tomorrow. Played the first 2 hours. Just fantastic, as a die hard fan of the first two especially the combat system I cansafely say it's better here than the previous two. I love that Batman is faster and it sounds like he hits harder. Loving the story, Roger Craig Smith is effin fantastic as Batman, I hope he plays him many many more times. The game is beautiful to look at. It already has one of the best boss fights in an Arkham game and I'm only 2 hours in. I think the backlash over the Joker is a wee bit ridiculous but this is the internet so no surprise there. It's on track to easily be the best of the 3.

Nah it's shoddy because they want to use the "greatest" villain in comics as a show stealer, again.

And for the record. I'm still looking forward to buying and playing this game. I'm sure I'll have a fun time playing. But I won't be able to stop myself from face palming at their story telling decision.

The only reason he's he greatest villain is because writers keep making him just that.
People are getting tired of his ****, and that oversaturation is going to hurt his character.

No one is treating it like that. We're just disappointed over a plot point and expressing our opinions on that.

I don't think anyone is going to boycott the game because of that. The gameplay is still its biggest charm.

Even if Black Mask is a C-list villain, I was really looking forward to what he'd bring to the table. He may not be Joker .......... But his whole attitude, mannerism, style, the way he talked, his sarcastic streak, I was sold on him. And now it turns out he gets even more mistreated than Strange and Ra's.

Even In the Dc villains month. Joker and two Joker characters got their one shot comics. The characters where Harley Quinn and Joker's Daughter. Joker's Daughter? Seriously? They could of used Lady Shiva, KGbeast, or Firefly. I am just overly frustrated right now. I'll still buy the game when the goty version comes out.

I feel a little iffy on the ending, if that actually is the real ending but I'm almost positive the whole ride to it is going to be a blast. So I'm not worried

I caved in and decided to check the spoiler out...I feel like how WB movie studios doesn't feel comfortable putting out any non Batman/superman characters in solo movies, WB games feels the same way about including any other Batman villains as the main villain.

Hmm, no I think this more of an issue of how they introduce them look at it this way DC has done a alot to have characters people didn't know known. Much of it starting with JL U, and DCUO and Injustice followed.

With the movies the only reason they'd feel like that is only cause they flopped some how but the issue there is why did that movie flop? It's usually caused Ether the story wasn't as good as it could be or the main villain looked like a "turd monster" like in Ryan Reynolds Green lantern movie or they removed something vital to the origin story that made the character cool or for the director to do something he wasn't ready to do yet. . Now looking at this it's more about Execution. BTW if you ever saw

"The Batman "animated series Black mask was used well there. Next to the red hood which fallow that as a second of it. In the former of which I mentioned He took over commissioners Gordon's police station in that series . This all in all is about knowing how to Execute right with certain characters. And again this about certain people wanting to try something different and brining variety to the table. It's the reason why people like Bendis get praised. He doesn't follow the let over use this character as others like to do cause it's easy. Bruce Timm did this as well.
