I thought it came out Friday? Does it come out earlier overseas?
 
Game is probably at the stores but people have connections and **** so they get it earlier than others.
 
I'm watching a walkthrough on YouTube. The opening sequence is amazing.
 
Moving past the spoiler uproar as I still plan on buying this day one since I need my New Batman game fix... I've been wondering, what DLC will they have in store for us this time? They also gave us a choc load of skins to begin with... I'm wondering if they'll be anymore for this game down the line.
 
Even with the spoiler, I think the game will be good. Better than Gears of War Judgment. Don't get me started on that. Coming from a Gearhead, that game was so disappointing.

Batman: Arkham Origins' Initiation DLC will explore Bruce Wayne's journey to be a ninja before he became a bat, producer Guillaume Voghel told Eurogamer at this week's Eurogamer Expo.

Initiation will follow Bruce's efforts to prove himself to Kirigi, the ninja that taught ninjitsu to both Bruce and his enemy Ra's al Ghul's League of Assassins. Initiation will be the first event within the Arkham series to use a setting outside of Gotham.

Arkham Origins will also feature I Am The Night, a difficulty mode that unlocks after players complete New Game+. I Am The Night will not allow saves and limits Batman to just one life. Considering Voghel said that Arkham Origins' "main narrative arc and side missions last about 12 hours," it sounds like players will need to conduct a crime-fighting marathon to overcome I Am The Night.

I find the spoiler more dull and unimaginative than anything, but Deadshot and Deathstroke look badass, can't wait to play those boss battles.
 
I'm honestly not up in arms about the spoiler, I'm eh watevs about it... While I'm in agreement with most about the "twist", the childish geek in me that is just looking forward to playing a new Arkham installment in a new bat suit that looks IMO much closer to TDK suit that I'm particularly fond of supersedes everything right now.

Kind of annoyed, the Definitive Edition has been delayed here in Australia so I have to wait longer now.
On the plus side, we can pick up the regular edition until our orders come in, and we get some free DLC out of it cause of the delay.
 
It's interesting seeing Arkham City in the game before it's all dilapidated and leveled by Hugo Strange and his forces.

It kind of reinforces the question, is Batman's presence really helping Gotham City? Or is he only escalating it and making things worse?

Got this game a few hours ago. Great surprise to start out the day, I wasn't expecting it til tomorrow. Played the first 2 hours. Just fantastic, as a die hard fan of the first two especially the combat system I cansafely say it's better here than the previous two. I love that Batman is faster and it sounds like he hits harder. Loving the story, Roger Craig Smith is effin fantastic as Batman, I hope he plays him many many more times. The game is beautiful to look at. It already has one of the best boss fights in an Arkham game and I'm only 2 hours in. I think the backlash over the Joker is a wee bit ridiculous but this is the internet so no surprise there. It's on track to easily be the best of the 3.

So how is the game holding up? Still looking like the best of the 3?? Is there 3D play?
 
About Killer Croc.

Apparently you fight him only 10 minutes into the game and you beat him and that's it for him and it's one assassin down already. Can anyone confirm that? Does he return at some point?

It really is.
The close-up on that bat and then the others scattering was excellent. Really nailed the atmosphere of the character and location. And the menu screen is gorgeous.
 
I'm such a sucker for awesome Batman imagery.

When Batman stands on the gargoyle, cape flowing freely, as Penguin's goons are making that deal in the plaza...man, that is just beautiful. :hrt:
 
pretty annoyed, just got off the phone with my local gamestop/eb games
the definitive edition (the version the US is getting) has been delayed to "Unforeseen circumstances" and won't be ready on friday

i guess on the bright side they've assured me i'll still be able to collect a standard copy of the game/the preorder dlc on friday while i wait for it to arrive but still pretty annoyed a day or so prior to release

Reviews won't be popping up this week.WBIE havent even sent out review copies yet.

Combine that with Assassin's Creed moving up to Tuesday and my wallet is gonna get DPed next week.
