I'm stuck on Shiva's first room in the shopping centre, can anyone help me?

Nevermind, I'm an idiot.

where do you even fight lady shiva. I beat story mode and most side mission and still didnt get any lady shiva missions.

Glad to know I'm not the only one having trouble with Deathstroke. I failed at it 3 or 4 times and then had to get ready for work so I'm still stuck there until later tonight.

After posting, I mixed my own style with the video, and beat him. And you know what? It went from frustrating to pretty cool.

It is okay to tell how I beat him?

Counter is your friend. Use the cape counter button. You want him to dodge and strike at you. I kept doing that through all three stages of the fight. Use the grapple gun and the clothesline technique. Also if you keep countering his attacks, it will force him to jump up more and use the grapple technique on you. Repeatedly, hit triangle, throw the barrel, use the grapple, pull him over clothesline him, hit him once or twice as soon as he lands. Then, counter his attack.

I am up to the Park Hotel segment of the story. My thoughts?

Make no mistake, this is an Arkham game. The story is solid. It does blend elements and environments from the first two together. Creepy prison corridors, sewers, steel mill, hallucinations, etc. There are nice moments in there, but I feel so far Origins lacks a certain magic the other two had. Though I've still got a way to go, I happily add it to the list of good Batman games.

I'm really glad to hear people are struggling with Deathstroke. The thing that I was worried the most about this game was that they would water him down. Deathstroke is essentially an evil Batman but on a far superior physical and mental level. Deathstroke has mopped the floor with Batman in the comics in most of the times they fought. It is a very good thing that people are struggling to beat him IMO.

Deathstroke was enjoyable. One of the better boss fights in the series. I liked what they did with Copperhead's boss fight - in terms of Batman's experience.

Without spoilers or anything but I just reached the Electrocutioner "fight" uhhhh is that it?

How have you already done that much?!?! I haven't even had time yet today to go out and get the game and people are already beating it?!

You'll see him again.

Once thing I love about this game is you can see Batman learning from his mistakes and slowly growing into what he is in Arkham Asylum/City.

So much for store exclusive. I guess they're free from the store but the Black Mask challenge maps are only 2 bucks, Deathstroke 6, and the two costume dlcs for 4 a piece.

So we see electrocutioner again later? Cause after that fight it said examine him. I hit the button to examine him and nothing happened. I thought examining him I would have taken his electric gauntlets or whatever.

FYI guys,

If you have the PS3 version, you can download the Knightfall pack for free at the PSN Store. You don't need a download code for it.

Broseph, Electrocutioner becomes a side quest character after you beat. Kind of like Mad Hatter was a side quest boss in Arkham City.

Yeah thanks I thought I remembered hearing that. I will have to find him.

Is the game at times a little choppy for anyone? The music and video?

is that fight with Deathstroke the last we see of him?

Just done the Lacey Towers crime scene stuff. It feels like I've barely done anything so I hope I haven't done a large chunk of it.

They really have something special with the new crime scene stuff. It's really fun to do.

It's choppy a few times here and there.

I've gotten pretty far now. There are a few twists, that's for sure. I guess I should have seen it coming.

Has anyone beaten the Anarky side quest? I'm trying not to spoil anything for people who haven't played yet.
He seems interested in meeting at the courthouse. Haven't gone there yet.

I haven't made it far, just got to the Batcave for the first time.

Yeah, it's built on the same mechanics as Arkham City. But, that's not a bad thing. I'm down for more of that. So, as far as I've gotten...alls I can say is that if you loved the previous two games, and you didn't get tired of it, then you should be golden with this game. The storytelling has been setup nicely here, and I enjoyed how the writing quickly explained why Batman can't just lock himself up in Wayne Manor for the night to let the bounty on his head just pass over. Alfred's wit and humor is spot on, too. And man, is the Batcave ****ing beautiful. This game's art direction seems very much inspired by the Nolan films. Batman's cowl and suit looks (especially as you're running around as Batman) like TDK/TDKR batsuit. The Batcave's catacombs and elevator looks just like it did in Batman Begins, and the Batsuit chamber (where you can pick different Batsuit skins) looks just like it did in TDK.

The art direction feels pretty damn different, and I like it. Croc looks less like a building, while still being the intimidating foe. I'm liking alot of the visual changes they've made to character and costume designs. The surroundings, for as little as I saw so far, looks pretty much the same though.

Ok the score for this game is AMAZING. I haven't even started the game, iv just been listening to this theme. The Christmas music playing in the background of the theme is just awesome.

The soundtrack is some of the best for a game so far IMO. Can't go wrong with Drake.

I had the game since 23rd. Took me 9.5 hours to beat it without touching any of the side missions.

Now Ive done many of the side missions but havent meet lady shiva yet.

I love that the combat challenge maps are hard. Arlham City was way too easy

I'm trying to avoid spoilers but so far I've been enjoying this. The only thing I dislike is the EXP system because I find it distracting and annoying. I loved the organic unlock-as-you-progress of the previous Arkham titles so I'm baffled as to why they went the grind out the EXP route.

It just takes me out of it when I have to go into my pause menu to level up every 10 mins.
