So offences but that is one horrible list.

Michael C. Hall? :hmm
He's another one of those guys that I would have said "Perfect" to even just five years ago, but the ship has probably sailed at this point.

He's only saying that cuz he played an elseworlds vers of Batman.

I think halls ship sailed years ago, although I thought he'd make a great lex. Which he could still do.

I always wanted him for Riddler tbh. He expressed interest in that role as well.

Anson Mount.

How are we feeling about Josh Hartnett these days?

I've always liked him and would be happy to see him take a shot at Batman.

Ehh, not really feeling Hartnett for Bruce. Cool actor though, he'd make a decent choice as a villain, Black Mask or something.

Always thought he was a solid actor, but it's not a name which excites me.

It'd be funny if we end up circling back to the crop of young actors who were originally rumored back in the early 2000s. Who's next, Kutcher?

Whoever suggested Timothy Olyphant or Anson Mount as the next Bruce Wayne/Batman I am all for it

Loved him in The Faculty. Not sure what happened to him. He did the Black Dahlia and 30 Days for Night and his leading man days seemed to fizzle and came back with Penny Dreadful a few years back.

For me, it's Tom Cullen or a complete unknown.

Dude is early 30's, 6 feet, decent enough actor, not too famous too turn down the role or demand much $; probably sign for a trilogy the moment he's called in.

I’ll go out on a limb and say pretty much any good actor aged 25-45 who’s in at least decent shape could play Batman.

He told them he didn't want to do it.

From memory wasn't he even Snyder's first choice over Affleck? A little fuzzy on that, think they might have approached Brolin pretty hard for BvS though.

I feel like Brolin was Snyder’s guy and Affleck was WB’s

In the end, the house won and he just went along with it. I’m sure Snyder wasn’t disappointed or anything but I’m not convinced he had Ben in mind for the part.

Much as I take issue with the writing/portrayal, Affleck was the right choice among those two. Brolin's a hell of an actor, but he's definitely a little too...rough around the edges or something. I don't buy him as a high-society playboy type, no matter how much he'd nail the actual intimidating Batman stuff.

Brolin was the perfect choice for a straight up TDKR adaptation

Shame that we’ll never actually get that film, at least not after BvS happened

Yup. Maybe add some extra make-up and Brolin would've nailed 55 year old-ish TDKR Bats.

Who’s next on the cycle of suggestion re-evaluation? Gosling? Matthew Goode? Max Martini?
