Madden is good but too short. he's like 5'8. or 5'9 tops
Madden is listed at 5'10".
That's a perfect height for Batman because it's my height and I could easily be Batman!

It didn't matter for Keaton, cause he was playing alongside Jack Nicholson and Danny Devito.

The height thing doesn't really matter that much at this point. Only really Affleck's been the size Batman's supposed to be, it's not a huge deal.
That being said, perfect as Evans is as Cap I'd be lying if I said it doesn't bug me just a tiny bit he's...definitely not on the short side, but basically totally-average in height. Kinda makes me grin a bit in The Winter Soldier elevator scene, all the 20 Hydra black-ops goons pile in, and Captain Freakin' America - supposedly the most physically-imposing/dangerous human being in existence - is like the third or fourth shortest dude in the elevator.
Just one of those things. Ideally, yeah, you'd sort of want someone 6'3" and broad shouldered and imposing, Chris Hemsworth size, as Bats or Cap. It's pretty unrealistic though, you overlook that in an instant if it's the right actor talent-wise. Hell, Diana Prince is probably supposed to be like 6'1" or something in the comics, it doesn't matter one iota that Gal isn't.
We're probably not getting someone Ben's size with a re-cast, even if the Gyllenhaal thing doesn't pan out, how many actors out there with the right look and chops are Affleck's size? Probably not many. It's fine.
Just gimmie Jake G, I think he could redefine live action Batman.
Cuz he's on the level of Bale, maybe even more versatile of an actor. How so? I feel he'd be a rather pedestrian addition.
