That's why I want Jake Johnson!
Well, nobody, but on paper Affleck sort of ticks all of the boxes. I don't know I'd call him "out of left field" the way, say, Keaton was. Or, yeah, Ledger as Joker.
And he's about as intimidating as an Olsen twin. :P
Being older-end-of-acceptable is the least of the problems with Hamm.

I dunno, I was mostly being facetious, but still. He has the look down perfectly for Bruce, probably more than any other actor out there. He's even 6'2"!
t: Not his fault, he's just...yeah. We need someone who can do borderline-crazy again, get some of that "LET'S GET NUTS!" thing in play.Well, there's that, Astro.I dunno, I was mostly being facetious, but still. Obviously can do the sophistication stuff for Bruce and the playboy aspect, he can believably portray intelligent as Bats.
I dunno, just something about the damn guy. He's sort of like Gosling - he's played villainous roles before, he's done "intense", I just can't for the life of me take it seriously. Keaton could be scary, Bale could be scary, hell, Affleck for all his issues can be scary.
Don Draper screaming at someone and intending to break their legs is still just somehow Don Draper though.t: Not his fault, he's just...yeah. We need someone who can do borderline-crazy again, get some of that "LET'S GET NUTS!" thing in play.
Well, I've started watching Mad Men.
Give me Jon Hamm as Batman, he is so perfect, acting wise, it is actually scary.
Jon Hamm would be great. Especially if he's playing the same Batman as Batfleck. It's an easy transition. He's the perfect guy for an older Batman.
Hamm did just recently say he wants the Batman role. So there's that.
