Wittrock's definitely got a touch of malice behind the eyes (see AHS: Freak Show), assuming that's even a requirement. Problem is, he comes off like a boyish *****ebag in just about everything I've seen him in.

I am really having trouble coming up with options on the younger side for Batman. Everyone feels too boyish to fit.

Yeah I can't think of any up and coming actors in their late 20s who would fit the bill... Think by "young" they may go for a 30s Batman. Can't see them going early days Batman after we just had that in the Nolan series.

Robert Pattinson honestly is a decent choice for a young Batman. It could be another Ledger or Keaton situation

Any thoughts on Adam Driver? Admittedly not too knowledgeable about SW or the films, but Driver already has an impressive list of performances ranging from comedic to dramatic, indie to blockbuster.

This is a truly inspired choice. But in most cases (an example of an exception being, say, Eastwood or Keaton as an Old Man Batman), I would prefer a relative unknown in the role. Like the situation Bale stepped into more than a decade ago.

Completely unlikely thought, but from memory didn't Joshua Jackson audition for Begins, like Gyllenhaal?

*Shrugs* Not much of a "name", but if they were to go a little more under-the-radar-but-talented I could get on board with Jackson as a potential Batman. A slight tangential connection to Reeves too, through Abrams.

Looks like he's 6'2" according to imdb, and has the look down. Had his intense brooding moments on Fringe.

If anything, I think that's exactly what'd make Pattinson an incredible pick. It'd be Ledger all over again- ridiculously petty backlash from insufferable fans for about a year or so, until the first trailer comes out and people go, "... Oh my god."
