Even at 41, Matt Bomer is so freakishly youthful looking that they could probably sell him as a "younger" Batman for another decade.

Yep. Can easily play an early-prime Batman.

If this is intended to be a younger version of Ben Affleck's Batman, I don't think you could get a much better doppleganger than 30 (29?) year old English actor Jonathan Bailey:

Playing fast and loose with the word "doppelganger" there...

Kinda looks like Affleck and Tom Holland's offspring...

Yeah, he's not identical to Affleck at all. But really, there doesn't need to be an exact resemblance either way.

What matters is- Is the guy a good actor?

shout-out to fan4stic then since I don't think anyone else comes close within the age-range.

Yeah, I know it's the angle and the lighting.

Alexander Koch is my pick for a young Ben Affleck in a prequel Batman movie:

Hey! Thanks! I had just posted this too! You got there first!

Imma put him below Tom Cullen on the likely scale.

Junior Rennie, eh? While the character got on my nerves (like he's supposed to), he did play that part good. That's all my reference is for him.

Not against it.

On the younger side of things (32 this year), put this guy in a gym and I feel like we'd have something.

The only downside being that it seems like he lost interest in a film career a few movies after Easy A, and mainly has been focused on music for awhile. He's got a new show coming up, though.

Casting another as a young Affleck is going to feel off and distracting to me considering young Affleck was not THAT long ago. I would rather they use Affleck himself and de-age him for the movie so he looks like 2001-2005 Affleck

WB's current FX have been pretty bad, I don't think they could really de-age Affleck and not make it hilarious.

Oh, was that serious? I just assumed it was a nonsense suggestion.

Dude kinda makes me think of an older David Mazouz.

Not sure if you're joking or not, but this isn't a good idea. It isn't worth the ungodly amounts of time and money that would go into applying the "de-age" effect on Affleck in every single scene of the film when you could just pick a younger actor to replace him altogether.

Yes, if it's a reboot of Ben's Batman. Cast someone younger. If its suppose to be a young Affleck then what is the point of casting someone who will vaugely resemble Affleck at best when you can you use make up, maybe some slight CG enhancements ala young Downey in Civil War to age Affleck down 8 or 9 years? It's not like what I'm suggesting is some crazy solution. Actors are aged up and down all the time in Hollywood movies.

I'm not gonna buy it at all if someone is portraying Affleck when Affleck in all actuality hasn't changed THAT much since Phantoms, Pearl Harbour and Daredevil. Affleck did not look like a completely different person in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Because the effect you're referring to is only really a viable option for limited uses. There's a reason why you only see that effect used sparingly in a few scenes (at most) in these films.

Dunno what you mean mate. This is spot on.

WB forfeited their right to touch up actors' faces with CGI from now until the end of recorded time.

Christ, he looks like Ed ****ing Helms.
