Hoult looks too young but I think he could put on muscle if needed.

Midget Jack O'Connell that will need them special RDJ boots and camera angles.

Hoult who looks like the riddler from gotham.

This is your goddamn Bruce/Batman.

I'm not against a race change, and in fact am frequently annoyed by the people who throw fits about it, BUT I don't much care for the attitude I occasionally see on social media that a project somehow loses points if a character who's been white for 80 years is being played by a white actor.
It’s dumb. Nobody sensible would take any notice of that kind of talk. Some people just have to take things too far.

Hoult has the young look to him, he will still have the same look into his 40s, which all the power to him with that vampire blood. It would be a hard pill to swallow to buy him as Batman for me. Even in the most positive of vibes, I just don't see it. I want a Batman/Bruce who looks older than his years, but still has that youth, kinda like Margot has. Many were even questioning her age a couple years back, she looks mature. Michael Cera in his 50s will still look like a 20 something, ya know? lol
Yeah, that’s a good way to put it. Robin can have the baby-face, but Bats and Bruce Wayne needs to look mature but still youthful, whatever the actual age they go for.

Rooting for O’Connell or Madden at this point I guess. There’s no way to kill my interest in something quicker these days than by casting Armie Hammer in it so I’m truly hoping BN is wrong on that one.

Flickchick, just not a fan of Armie? I've generally enjoyed him in what I've seen him in. Just curious.

Can Hammer do angry and intense, though? I've only seen him in parts that call for joviality or emotional detachment. Can he summon up the necessary angst?

I would be cool with Armie

My guess is going to be Alden Ehrenreich though. Because...why not.

I'm guessing yeah. I mean George Miller had him as his Batman 10 years ago, I trust that guy's endorsement.

Also this, which is what he was probably most known for at the time:

The Machinist was the exception, not the rule, and was touted as a transformation in itself...

Nicholas Hoult is just small normally, that's his base physique.
Right but the point is, an actor's physique pre-training regime is irrelevant. If Bale could go from a skeleton in 2003 for the Machinist to lean ripped in 2004 for Begins then so can Hoult or any other actor, really with the right training and diet.

Look at Pratt's transformation before and after Guardians

Look at Hemsworth for Heart of the Sea. Skinnier than Hoult

I’ve hated him ever since his guest spots on Reaper, lol. His rise to fame has been genuinely baffling to me and I can only attribute it to David Fincher’s 100 takes method convincing people he could be believable in a scene, because he’s certainly not been in anything else I’ve seen him in (which unfortunately is now a lot). He’s by far my least favorite actor of his generation of stars. Well, maybe tied with Ansel Elgort.

Hah okay, fair enough.

I definitely don't think he this great thespian but his acting doesn't really stand out as "bad" to me at least. I mean he's definitely (in my opinion) a better actor than Jason Momoa and Gal Gadot and people are fine with them?

Gal and Jason at least have charisma, though. Armie has, like, anti-charisma to me, lol. He’s never come across as remotely likable on-screen or off, imo.

There was one tweet he made at an extreme conservative a while back that was such a good burn I almost started liking him for a hot minute, but alas, it was but a fleeting moment, lol.
