He got old lol. Hes been on Lucifer recently. It's weird seeing him as gray haired man.

Back in the day, Hamm would've made a pretty solid Batman and an even better Bruce Wayne. My only real concern now is his age. That said, he's a much better choice than some of the names I've seen thrown around of late.

After Mad Men, The Town, and Baby Driver, I definitely think he's got a good Batman in him.

If they were going to go with a younger Batman for the actual Batman franchise, but have an older Batman show up cameo style in other DCEU projects, Hamm would be a good choice for that. Unlikely, though.

As of now (2018), except "Smallville" and "Gotham" TV series:
- The latest Superman TV series was "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" 1993-1997 (it has been 21 years).
- The latest Batman TV series was "Batman" 1966-1968 (it has been 50 years).
How long the audience have to wait for new Superman/Batman TV series? DC Comics should make more movies for other characters instead of them, we have enough of Superman/Batman movies already, it's time for new Superman/Batman TV series.

I'd take a Batman television series on HBO over movies every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Same. I have no idea which actor could play a younger Batman, but I still want him to be younger. Otherwise, what would be the point to recast him? If they want an older Bruce, then Ben is perfect and they can wait for him to get better (the script took months, then Ben was no longer directing, etc). We've been waiting for while now, we can wait for more if it means keeping the current continuity.

FWIW Mario Robles added further details on his "third name" he's hearing about regarding casting. Says he stands out because he is older than what Reeves was supposedly looking for and says the actor is in his late 30s. So that rules out Jon Hamm & Armie Hammer.

He also said that Reeves was technically "late" handing in the script, and theorizes that maybe they made some last minute changes to allow room for an older actor, or this actor in particular to fit the bill.

I'm thinking it's either Ryan Gosling or John Krasinski.

I could have Armie Hammer as a Young Prequel Batman and Jon Hamm as the JL/Affleck Replacement 45-50 year old Batman. I can buy that, they're around the same height and their facial structure is not that different so put makeup here and there and maybe...

On another note, I really, REALLY hope John Krasinski isn't the Bat.

On another hand, late thirties? That leaves a bit of room for Lee pace... and I can see him in the role after seeing Halt and Catch Fire...
