Batman/Bruce Wayne Casting Thread - Part 4

I supported Lee Pace for the role last time they were casting and I’d support him now.

Can't picture him in the cowl at all without it looking goofy as hell.

Lee Pace would fit the cowl so well.
Can't say that about Krasinski. Krasinski would look goofy even without the cowl. I really, really don't like that idea. Not one bit.

Wait a second. Late thirties also means Michael Fassbender could be a potential candidate.

Not against Lee Pace. For some reason he reminds me of George Lazenby, but that shouldn't be a bad thing.

Krasinski was who I meant, not Pace.

Reason why I'm thinking Ryan Gosling and John Krasinski is that MFR said it was someone who was always on the top of fan-lists for superhero movies... Ryan has been fancast/talked about for Batman since before MOS came out, or even for roles like the Flash, plus John Krasinski has been fancast for a ton of roles since his turn in 13 Hours, and he also has enough heat on him post-A Quiet Place that I could see why a studio would be interested in him.

If Superman was actually a priority for the studio, I wouldn't be surprised if they offered Krasinski the chance to star and direct in a modestly budgeted Superman reboot.

Lee Pace could be cool though. Definitely has the voice for it, that's for sure.

Ha, my ideal replacements for Cavill and Affleck are Krasinksi and Gosling
After reading who just got cast as Lois Lane on the CW, my go-to Supes cast is on Grimm, that includes John Henry Irons.

I would go for Lee Pace but Jon Hamm even said himself that he wants to be the DCEU's next Batman but will Hamm get it though? I would definitely lobby for Hamm but

No. Hamm is 47. It's just like how people played themselves into believing Bryan Cranston was going to play Lex Luthor.

Bryan Cranston should’ve been Lex. He would’ve been so much better than what we got. Thanks Snyder!

Lex is a character thatst mostly based in his mind and presence rather than how physical he is. A 60 year old Luthor can TOTALLY work.

2013: when we all thought Don Draper and Walter White would meet in a Batman movie.

Gosling would be a dream choice but landing him would be such a tall order. Never say never, I suppose.

Why are people so in love with the idea of Gosling as Batman?

So have I. I'm still not sold on him as Batman/Bruce Wayne. It feels like another Ben Affleck situation.
I wouldn't hate it, but I don't get what's so appealing about the guy either. He just seems bored out of his mind half the time.

Folks just want to see him do his stare and tantrums.
