Back then, we had people defending Brett Ratner directing Superman and Frank Miller wasn't considered insane old man yet. C. Lee was still old.

I feel like Finn Wittrock will be a front-runner, and will have a very, very good chance at grabbing the role. He lines up with the concept of a younger Batman (34), he isn't a name, which means he doesn't bring any preconceived notions from the general public into the role as Affleck did with his casting (which makes it easier for him to "disappear" into it), and, like many superhero castings, he's someone who has been building a solid portfolio, and has been appearing in many critically acclaimed works in smaller supporting roles (La La Land, AHS, Beale Street, and Gianni Versace where he grabbed an Emmy nom). I feel like he's on the cusp of a big awareness boost, and this could be it.

Never been a fan of Hedlund. Not back when he was supposedly up for Cap, a role he was better-suited for than this, and not now.

Not saying it's going to lead to a casting, but Armie Hammer definitely has a meeting setup. It just makes sense. Be it just a meeting to show goodwill by WB, part out of courtesy or whatnot, but his agent gotta be all over this.

I would fire my agent if he couldn't get me at least a meeting, If I were Hammer. lol
