Sorry, I've just grown to really dislike Hammer lol.Quit trolling dawg, you’re making this place a little too antagonistic with the way you try to provoke Armie Hammer fans. Let’s just all have fun with this. Everyone needs to calm down. We’ll get the casting eventually.
I don’t necessarily even have faith in Reeves based on how long this is taking, his previous work, and the rumored contenders, but it’ll be nice once we finally get our new Batman.
If by "let's settle in", you mean "let's stop taking every vague/cryptic gossip blogger tweet about SOMETHING coming tomorrow so seriously that we breathlessly repost it here and debate about it for that full day until we realize it was literally nothing"..... then, yes, I agree.Well this could push casting back until August.
So let's settle in.![]()
Nothing has suggested that they are out of the running.Assuming all the screentested actors are out (ATJ, Hoult, Sprouse and Lerman) what other under 30 actors do you guys suggest?
You're assuming like a guy who would say that Reeves doesnt want Hammer ahaAssuming all the screentested actors are out (ATJ, Hoult, Sprouse and Lerman) what other under 30 actors do you guys suggest?

This morning I texted my pal Justin Kroll at Variety to ask if he’d heard a single name for Matt Reeves‘ The Batman, and his answer didn’t surprise me. Neither of us have heard anything on the casting front. That’s because, as Kroll so helpfully explained minutes later on Twitter, Reeves is still polishing the script, and there’s a possibility that production could start early next year rather than later this fall.

They get bonus points for mentioning my boy Christopher Abbott. Still one of my favorite choices.
At least this movie won't suffer the two many cooks in the kitchen problem which has historically plagued many CBM franchises such as Spider-Man.
Though I think there should be a co-writer to challenge Reeves to an extent. Didn't Reeves have long Skype calls with Mark Bomback so maybe he'll get story credit?
I came here, the land of no news, with no expectations and end up disappointed anyway.

Very true, similar to how the Prequels turned out. Several people in the production wanted to challenge some of his ideas in the Phantom Menace but lacked the balls to do so. Either it was because they were worried about it affecting their career or they just thought since he created it from the start and had pioneered other films such as Indiana Jones that he just knew what he was doing.By the same token Matt Reeves has no one to blame but himself if the movie falls on its face.
