Quit trolling dawg, you’re making this place a little too antagonistic with the way you try to provoke Armie Hammer fans. Let’s just all have fun with this. Everyone needs to calm down. We’ll get the casting eventually.

I don’t necessarily even have faith in Reeves based on how long this is taking, his previous work, and the rumored contenders, but it’ll be nice once we finally get our new Batman.
Sorry, I've just grown to really dislike Hammer lol.

I want this madness to end so we can move on!

Well this could push casting back until August.

So let's settle in. :funny:

Assuming all the screentested actors are out (ATJ, Hoult, Sprouse and Lerman) what other under 30 actors do you guys suggest?

If by "let's settle in", you mean "let's stop taking every vague/cryptic gossip blogger tweet about SOMETHING coming tomorrow so seriously that we breathlessly repost it here and debate about it for that full day until we realize it was literally nothing"..... then, yes, I agree.

Nothing has suggested that they are out of the running.

Pushing production back to the top of 2020 just means they're not in any rush to announce the actor. That doesn't prevent them from locking the actor down now.

Tomorrow is always interesting, it's a new day

About that little batman movie now?

You're assuming like a guy who would say that Reeves doesnt want Hammer aha :p

'The Batman' Production Possibly Delayed Due to Further Work on the Script

This morning I texted my pal Justin Kroll at Variety to ask if he’d heard a single name for Matt ReevesThe Batman, and his answer didn’t surprise me. Neither of us have heard anything on the casting front. That’s because, as Kroll so helpfully explained minutes later on Twitter, Reeves is still polishing the script, and there’s a possibility that production could start early next year rather than later this fall.

Shigeru Miyamoto — 'A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever.'

This is such a first world problem, and I understand from a logical perspective that it’s in everyone’s best interest for the script to be as good as it can get before the cameras start rolling, but...this is taking forever. Almost every single legitimate piece of news about this movie has been about Reeves either writing, re-writing, or polishing up the script. Get a co-writer, dude.

Sorry, don’t mean to whine. :funny:

At least this movie won't suffer the two many cooks in the kitchen problem which has historically plagued many CBM franchises such as Spider-Man.

Though I think there should be a co-writer to challenge Reeves to an extent. Didn't Reeves have long Skype calls with Mark Bomback so maybe he'll get story credit?

By the same token Matt Reeves has no one to blame but himself if the movie falls on its face.

I think the "Polishing the script" equals the studio won't tell us anything. They'll be tweaking the script all the way through shooting . WB will drop a press release when ready.

That production start date as 'known information' in the tweet on last page is very specific without releasing casting information, they know the casting, just release the information, casting decisions are not script dependent decisions on the whole.

Very true, similar to how the Prequels turned out. Several people in the production wanted to challenge some of his ideas in the Phantom Menace but lacked the balls to do so. Either it was because they were worried about it affecting their career or they just thought since he created it from the start and had pioneered other films such as Indiana Jones that he just knew what he was doing.

Not that I'm saying Reeves is George Lucas but I'm wondering if there's a disagreement in the script between WB and himself that's why it's continually being polished in order to satisfy both.

It's time to shovel coal back into this train.

I'd almost welcome a longer wait until casting info/filming/release if it meant you people would stop treating these mother****ers like short order cooks.
