It's a shame Ben Affleck wants out but do what you're happy with man. But now JL is coming out tonight WB should just come out and say Affleck is out.

I can't wait to see more of his directing gigs.

A silo's worth of salt to be sure, but just for the fun of it, actors that start with "J" off the top of my head:

Jake Gyllenhaal
James Franco
James Marsden
Javier Bardem
Jeremy Renner
Jim Caviezel
Joaquin Phoenix
Jon Hamm
Josh Brolin

hmm if Campea is right, on that list Joaquin Phoenix would be the hardest to catch. Gyllenhaal would be another, but he expressed interest in comic book movies roles.

To me we will know who is the new Batman not before next year. At the earliest after the christmas hollywdays. Not before Justice league end its run,in all case

Jim Caviezel is possible but not for how many films they want to do. Isn't he older than Affleck, like 50 or something? Also I've never been a fan. He's always been extremely one note and boring to me as an actor.

Oscar Isaac will probably be booked with the last Star Wars.

Joaquin Phoenix is one of my favorite actors, and he was Darren Aronofsky's choice for his twisted R rated Year One back in the early 2000's. But he's even fussier than Gosling and I don't think he's right for the role. Joaquin is a notorious mumbler lol, it would be like having a Batman who is high.

Dan Stevens is possible, even though I think there's better choices out there.

I heard Colin Farrell from somebody who "had a source" a month ago. That would be insane.

Jon Hamm would be a perfect Bruce, don't know about Bats.

He's a piece of **** and so was his last movie, so I simply don't care what he does after this.

Couple of good name drops there. Let's add 'em to the list:

Jake Gyllenhaal
James D'Arcy
James Franco
James Marsden
Jared Padalecki
Javier Bardem
Jensen Ackles
Jeremy Renner
Jim Caviezel
Joaquin Phoenix
Jonathan Rhys Meyers
Jon Bernthal
Jon Hamm
Josh Brolin
Josh Hartnett
Jude Law
Man, some of those names are laughable :funny:

This. Aside from The Count of Monte Cristo and The Passion of the Christ, Caviezel has always bored me to tears.

Yes leaving that to one side for the time being ( i know it's difficult) but purely as a director I rate him. The man hasn't been the same since before BvS release and then the reviews just broke him for this role.

Gonna be great when Reeves and MY BOY Gosling usher in a new era of quality Bat films

Gyllenhaal wouldn't be a good choice. He's too soft, and his voice is too high. Gosling is boring as hell, and looks bored on screen. Richard Armitage has the right look, but it's the same case as Affleck as far as his age.

Seems like it's probably Jake Gyllenhaal after all. I did a bit more looking at Rob Keyes' Twitter page and found this.

I've actually only watched two of the movies he directed, but I guess it was the two bad ones of the four, because they were horrible -- Gone Baby Gone and Live by Night. Nothing about his work in those movies at least has me interested in anything of his behind the camera.

Actor that starts with a J.... Josh Duhamel? I don't know about acting ability but physically he nails it.

Jake is not my first choice, and i would prefer him for Hal Jordan, but i'm sure that he would be a great Batman. The guy is an incredible actor

I’d like hear Gyllenhaal’s Bat-growl, sans voice synthesizer.

Too soft? And Affleck is hard? Ben's voice is high and he deepened his voice for the role. Gosling is not boring lol, Armitage is boring. I can't even remember a single performance or character from Armitage. Gos has Drive, Place Beyond The Pines, Blue Valentine, Lars and the Real Girl, Nice Guys, La La Land and Bladerunner under his belt.

Jake is probably my favourite actor right now. He has the physicality, chops, dynamics to play anyone from Bruce to Joker. He can pull off quiet intensity, rage, a tortured soul, cold, warm, charismatic fun playboy. All of it. Who cares if his face isn't like Affleck's, and doesn't immediately remind us of the character from the comics. What good has that done anyway? All we've gotten is two wooden performances. Time to get a GOOD actor with range and gravitas back in the role.

Ledger looked nothing like Joker either. Keaton looked nothing like Bruce. Sometimes unconventional choices are the best.
