Brolin is too old as it is, but the issues with Diane Lane will keep him far from this project.

Why?

Batman and Ma Kent prob wont have ANY scenes together.

Plus Michael C Hall still acts opposite the actress that plays his sister even though they are divorced now.

And yes, I have watched all seasons of Supernatural.

No he does not. Until details of his private life started leaking nobody really suspected him of being gay. Ironically enough people a few years ago said the exact same thing about Cavill and he had tons of gay rumors around him.

If you find some of the superman casting archives from a few years ago about half the posts on SHH were people questioning his sexuality.

Regardless his or any actors personal life should just stay that with regards to roles.

I did question Cavill's sexuality at one point but it wasn't "in question" to me to the extent of Mr Bomer - Bomer's just always seemed gay to me.

Either way, I don't see him as Batman.

Yeah, Berry is OKAAAY as Storm. But she's easily replaceable. She's barely comics Storm too, she's Singer "Storm" in a leather "we're superheroes but not really superheroes in case they're still not cool to the GA" outfit.

I've already expressed my dislike for Evan as Batman. I think he'd be terrible. He lacks the commanding qualities that Batman needs. His acting to me leaves a lot to be desired. He's like a poor man's Orlando Bloom (and Orlando is pretty effeminate himself).

I wouldn't waste my time spending my days questioning actors sexuality. I don't think there's any famous male actor today who hasn't had at least one gay rumor to their name.

I don't think Bomer's in the running but using "gay rumors" or questionings etc. would probably discredit 90% of actors out there.

...yeah, but this could be a pretty "delicate" matter for such a high-cost project. Maybe had the Brolin-Lane divorce been somewhat subtle news, then maybe we wouldn't be touching much on the issue, but the fact is that it made a bit of noise with the domestic violence arrest.

I don't spend my days questioning anyone's sexuality, and I agree, just about everyone in Hollywood has had a "rumor" about them at one point, but they're not all believable for who they're associated with. Just based off a "look" or "sixth sense" or whatever, Matt Bomer seems gay to me and it shows through in everything I have seen him in.

That's why I can't see him as Batman. That and he's too "pretty boy".

This whole BOF rumor seems pretty flimsy to me. It says they want an older batman, then it lists guys all over the age spectrum. Brolin is fine for TDKR, but this isn't the end game film. This is the beginning of the shared universe. Gosling will not do it and thank the good lord for that. Manganiello is just silly. Guy has zero talent. No screen presence. Karl Urban is the perfect choice. He has the look. He's a big dude. He's old enough to play an established batman. He already kicked butt in "Dredd." He's not a huge "star" so he won't overshadow Cavill. He's relatively cheap and I'm sure he would sign on for multiple films. It's just too perfect. I just can't see how this doesn't happen.
