Batman: Under the Red Hood

I just ordered the 2 tpbs online.... Is it a good read?

If you like grimdark Batman stories, yes. It has 3 non-Batman characters in the story but that won't ruin your experience.

It's one of my favorite Batman stories.

Interview with the director.

Interesting stuff.

Not much new tho.

After watching that, I'm actually REALLY fired up to see this movie. Wow.

Well, I'm about as thrilled with this as I was with the comic... Which is to say... not very much. The comic was, in my opinion, not very well thought out, especially for having done something as drastic as
bring back Jason Todd.
The plot was... meh and as usual there was too much focus on 'how close to crossing the line' Batman is. 'How much he want's to kill people and only one thing stops him.':cmad:

So the big surprise will be that the Red Hood is Jason Todd? :woot:

Seriously, if they play it that way it will be the dumbest thing ever.

Not the best story to adapt.

Red Hood is actually Music Meister. Sorry for spoiling the new ending

Christopher Drake will compose for the movie. Previous work include JL: COTE, WW, Superman|Batman: PE and Gotham Knight.

BATMAN: UNDER THE RED HOOD

And when the Joker falls in the balance between the two, hard truths are revealed and old wounds are reopened.

Cover art is suppose to be revealed in the coming weeks.

Ooh, I know what I'll be getting for my birthday! :awesome: I can't wait.

Oh ****, son.... :wow::up:

I hate that they brought back Jason Todd, and how they did it. First the whole Superboy thing then the Lazarus Pit, anything else they wanna' throw in there just to explain how he could come back to life. Yeesh!

There was a reason they killed him. Let him stay dead!

But, I am happy that I have a BATMAN movie to look forward to this Summer, even if it is on DVD.

And even though I don't like what they did bringing him back, I liked some of the story, and I'm hoping the movie'll be better. I'm thinking they might simplify Red Hood/Jason's origin a bit.

Also, I'm happy they said this'll be closer to the animated serie than any of the other previous DC dvds. Which is great! I'll be nice to see that style again, I forgot who the guy was in the interview but, as he said, he thought Timm's Gotham City was the ultimate Gotham and that's what they tried to do with the look of the city in this dvd movie, and this will be closer to the animated series.

So this should be beautiful to watch. I really can't wait to see it.

And since I'm a huge Batman fan, it'll be great to see a Batman dvd movie all for him since the last few DC movies were for the JLA. Well there was Superman/Batman but still a team up story. Can't wait to see a Batman movie.

And like I said even though I don't like the whole Jason's return thing he does make a good villian, and it should be a fun and cool movie.
