f7 and jw speak to the idea that there are things outside of sheer quality that can push a film to doing massive numbers. All those upper tier box office movies argue this actually.
JW and Furious 7 were fun af to watch in theaters so it doesn't surprise me that people kept going back for repeats
All eyes and potential repeats for this film will be mainly focused on what the title promised everyone when they go to the theatre.
Batman vs Superman
As long as the fight scenes are incredibly fun, intense and the pure definition of absolute awesomeness, people will bring there friends and family along to see it again for the awesome moments of the film. not to mention both BvS and F7 have another huge factor that will help them which is not the Easter weekend: Lack of competition.
Every billion dollar behemoth of this year achieved the billion dollar mark in less then 14 days (2 weeks) and from what's releasing in late march/early April there is hardly any competition whatsoever, theatres all over the planet will be playing BvS in all their screens as long as WB's marketing is on point for this film.
So as long as WB use the same amount of marketing as MoS or even more will be more then enough, in fact here's a video that one person made that shows us ALL the marketing man of steel had since its announcement up until its release which is truly amazing.

Hmm, I wonder if it's the same team marketing for this film (it's a lot different - one teaser, and then a trailer).
Although I can't argue with the success of the Trailer![]()
Crazy. So much for that not making enough for sequels lolWith China literally having exploded since 2013 - the top Hollywood movie of 2013 in China won't even be in the top 10 for 2015 most likely - BvS needs to do its best to secure a good release date. 200M from China alone is possible. Terminator: Genisys just opened to a 30M OD in China, the market expansion is helping every movie a lot.
If only there was a website out there that had an accurate showing of release dates in China for the year, that would honestly help sort this all out, BvS just needs a minimum of 3 good weeks of no competition in China to make a big splash there.
I genuinely believe that a critically successful MOS sequel without the type of ridiculous competition MOS received would probably have made a billion dollars at the box-office. So with the addition of Affleck's Batman and Wonder Woman in BVS, I have no doubt that this film will gross about 1.5 billion dollars at the box-office.
If this film manages to be well-liked by critics, it will be a massive monster at the box-office.
to be well-liked by critics? impossible.
As long as we get a minimum of a 70%+ RT score then just like Jurassic World this film will be big.

Do overseas GA really care about RT. I think they don't care that much for this type of event film. WOM should be good.![]()
