Batman Vs. Superman Who Would Win

I actually think Superman can get the drop on him with those powers of his (if he was smart or cruel). Super breath, ice breath, heat vision. Thing is, Superman is quite scared of using his powers on regular people. Metahumans? Foreign objects? No problem. But I've never seen him use heat vision on a person or used ice breath or super breath for that matter. He's always more hands on when it comes to humans and that would be his downfall.

Not to mention his arrogance. Green Arrow shot an arrow at him, he caugh it, and the damn thing exploded kryptonite in his face. Guy could have just blew it back or froze it or something.

S'what I'm sayin, man. But ya know takin somebody down from behind ( or at a distance which is what it would take for Supes). That ain't a fight. If I'm not mistaken the discussion here is if the two were to fight, correct? With no mind control on either and if they had to do it the odds would be evened. Superman woouldn't take on 'his friend' with his abilities. Batman's got him then.

I've never understood how this can even be a debate?? I'm not a massive DC fan but surely there is NO way Batman could realistically win??
Ye he's cooler which seems to be the basis behind most peoples argument on here but at the end of the day hes just a man with lots of gadgets?!? It's like saying who would win, James Bond or Superman.......

Superman is all but indestructible (which i think kind of makes him a boring character) so unless batman had a kryptonite gun and kryptonite body armour how could he win?!?!

In all frankness, Batman has an incredible amount of fans who would be utterly disappointed if he were defeated by Superman (or anybody for that matter). He is a true champion and has been known to do some improbable if not impossible things (especially when he is around Superman). In the realm of reality where all things have a (probabilistic) possibility, there is a chance (although very slim) that in a bout between Batman and Superman, Batman could get the edge. Don't get it twisted, though, my money is on Superman when that time comes.

as big of a Superman supproter I am, I also love Batman and have to admit that Batman could and would outhtink and outwit Superman and ultimately...after getting a severe ass beating....beat Superman.

But of course...since we are discussing the movie...i think it will come to a draw before they team up to take down the real bad guys

I don't care what you think or how much credit you give Batman's intelligence, but Batman is a gnat to Superman. Superman is faster than Batman's own thought processes when he wants to be, he is strong and durable, moreso than any mere device or punch. Kryptonite may be his weakness, but as we've seen, when Superman wanted to take that option away from Batman (Lex Luthor: Man of Steel) he could, with ease. Superman holds back, especially on someone like Bruce...who is his friend.

And everyone quit posting DKR, I get the impression you haven't read it and or seen the actual end of that fight.

But it is what it is. Comic books are filled with contradictions and retcons. What may be canon today may not be tomorrow. It was just a few years ago that Iron Man's origin took place during the Vietnam war. Now it's during the Gulf War. Things happen. All we know is as of now, Batman has and can stop Superman again. I think everyone has their idea of what Superman would do to Batman but that hasn't been written yet. Not on the level most fans want anyway (except during the recent crisis where he put Batman in the League ward).

No, he hasn't actually. Yet another frequent, and dangerous holy Bat-misconception. Batman has gotten his tail handed to him by Superman, THAT has happened. But when did Batman "beat" Superman, he "beat" him in an elseworld which featured a Clark Kent (who appeared powered down) which was written about Batman...and Batman did not even win, he just used the fight as an excuse to fake his own death.

i was speaking in general of course.

again the question isnt "who will win, Superman or Batman?", its "would Superman want to beat Batman?" because anybody who knows the Man of Steel enough would know that he would rather avoid a confrontation and find a peaceable manner rather than beat a friend to a bloody pulp.

Okay. I agree with you there. In fact I believe that statement would go both ways. I don't believe that either would want to fight each other. They have that common bond in that they both lost the two people that were most important to them. Granted Superman lost his entire race. But the one thing that brings Superman and Batman to equals is that they wouold give anything to know thier parents.

I love Batman, but it always bugged me how easily he could beat Superman, who is basically a god.

As a character, Batman owns Superman. But being realistic, if Superman just out of the blue said "hey, I wanna kill Batman," then he would be able to do so easily. Just swoop down on him and crush him. Even in a fist fight, with Batman expecting it, Superman would hand Batman his ass. Unless Batman had kryptonite, or had help, like in The Dark Knight Returns.
