^^^ But The trailers and prologue for TDK are 10X better than the entire Iron Man movie. So we already won.
It's not about winning, you loony

How can you say its gonna be better without even seeing it?
Stop being such a fanboy! no wonder no one wants to come in here. It's like you people don't live in reality.

I think it's pretty obvious. Iron-man was entertaining, but was a mindless action film. TDK just like Begins will have emotion and depth behind it. The story will be more important than the action. Which is the way a movie should always be. Iron-Man was entertaining, but I'll take a movie that is more than action/ comedy over it any day.
It's funny that I'm being called a fanatic since Ironman is one of my favorite comics of all time. Just as great as Batman to me. As far as the movies go though Iron-man had nothing bellow the surface.

I think your giving IM a bit more credit than it deserves, but I'll admit I was a little overly harsh as well. I actually really liked IM alot until I got on these boards and dealt with some of the more extreme IM fans they keep making me dislike the movie more and more. It's not really fair to the film. I still say that BB is a far better film and TDK will be as well. TDK so far looks to be better than even BB.Sure, IM wasn't 2001 but to dismiss it as a "mindless" action film and "nothing below the surface" is a bit harsh. Don't let the movie's tone fool you. IM even explores some of the same themes that BB did. The 2 movies are very similar in execution, even...But BB is more serious, mainly due to it's protagonist's more somber nature, in comparison to IM's.

Yea, and there weren't many people who predicted IM to be the top movie of the summer. But it sure as hell looks like that will happen now. In just a short time, it will pass $300 mil, the only movie this summer that had a shot at competing with that was Indy, IMO. IM has been nothing short of incredible at the BO, the positive WOM has been through the roof, just look at the week to week percentage drops, absolutely amazing. Anyone who still thinks TDK will top IM this summer is delusional.![]()
LOL $276.6 Million
That's gonna be happening to Stormin Normin A lot this year.
It's just common sense at this point. IM is on its way to $310 mil. The reviews for TDK won't top IM (currently at 93% on RT) and the WOM for IM has been extraordinary and the week to week percentage dropoffs at the BO have been nothing short of amazing. Just looking at the numbers and putting the fanboy pom-poms away, it is obvious that TDK will not top IM.

Actually it's been pointed out to you several times at this point, but you choose to ignore it every time so we will instead just wait until TDK comes out and then collectively laugh at you.I knew Iron Man would do very well.
So again..where is it common sense that TDK won't have similar, if not better, numbers?![]()

IM was about as deep as Transformers. I mean sure, you can find some serious themes lightly and superficially and simplistically addressed in both of them - but those movies were, in the end, a fantastic, fun, mindless pop corn flick.

I didn't post that to start a Batman vs Iron Man debate, I posted that figure because Norman was so hell bent on Iron Man not making that amount of money.
I agree with Stormin... IM was nice surprise and made great BO numbers, but there is no reason why TDK which has WAY more hype can't make those numbers too. People speak of word of mouth... but are you expecting TDK to have terrible word of mouth? Hell no. TDK has everything IM had going for it, and more.
I wouldn't go that far. Surely, even you can see that IM was a bit more mature than Transformers.
I patially agree all though I wouldn't rate IM that low. I found it to be much better than transformers which was a god awful movie. I Will agree that there wasn't much to it, but compared to Transformers it was one of the deepest movies in history. Transformers was straight up garbage.
thats MY win right there! some of you guys aren't real fanboys! a real fan is like me. say this..."TDK is made for ME!! not anyone else!!!!LOL, yea. What exactly would we be winning if TDK makes more than IM or vice versa? It's the executives pockets getting fatter, not ours.
Edit: For me, winning is TDK making enough so that WB greenlights another film with Nolan.
then it wouldn't matter if it make 300 mil. or 3 mil.!! you like it cause it's your film!!
Hulk will crush this
Hulk beating TDK?
Your ignorance amuses me.
I remember the reaction on here when weeks before IM was released, some stated it would make $300 mil. They were basically laughed off the boards.
