Oh! So you've seen an advanced screening of it, then?

Because that would explain the amount of pretension in your post.

No, I've seen all the trailers.
You know, those 2 minute clips that are supposed to glue your ass into the theater seat?
Yea, ain't gonna happen ;)

Screw the world, they can all burn in hell.
I liked Transformers waaay more than Iron Man.
Tony Stark/Iron Man just isn't an interesting enough character.
Sure he has funny one-liners and all....But really, that's it.
Oh, and he can fly.
Most of the time.

I loved Transformers, and will never forget the first screening of it, it was like being at a rock show, the crowd went nuts!
Not so much with Iron Man, lol.....

And Sam Witwicky was one of the most interesting individuals ever put on celluloid...

Oh please, he was a lot funnier AND likeable than Tony Stark and in the end got the hotter girl.

I still stand by my statement :
I liked Transformers waaay more than Iron Man.
I really don't thnk i can even sit through another showing of Iron man, whereas Transformers I saw like 5 times in theaters.

Shia funnier than RDJ? How old are you?

Give me a ****ing BREAK.
Why do you even care?
I enjoyed Transformers, Shia Labeouf, and Megan Fox more so than anyone else in Iron Man.
Not to say it wasn't a good movie, it was, there's not just enough interest in the character for me to like it as much as you obviously did.

Insults aren't gonna do you any good but make me want to hate Iron Man.

Dude - Transformers was cool and all, but it was just popcorn-flick-level entertainment. At least Iron Man stepped above that a bit with actually witty dialogue and a believable female character.

I mean really - "I know a lot about cars even though I look like a first-class skank and hang out with every jock in school - not to mention my existence is a lame excuse to draw a parallel to the Transformers catch phrase, 'More than meets the eye'".

This has "fallacy of opposition" written all over it :hehe:

Transformers was way too damn kiddie for me. Thats what i hated about it. Iron Man was a lot funnier and just better overall.

That wasn't an insult. It was an actual question.

Ask yourself the samething.
I'm not the one trying to wrap my head around this problem because someone enjoyed Transformers over Iron Man.

GRIN :woot:

I was just going to point out that the younger generation might prefer Transformers for various reasons. I wasn't trying to be overly rude or anything.

Agreed. I couldn't stand Transformers. I can't believe they're making another one.

^210 - 220M domestically and 150 - 180M International and by the looks of it from the early reviews HULK seems to be shaping up to be what Iron Man was shaping up to be weeks before it came out in cinema. We will have another Marvel success that would be right up there with its brother Iron Man. I'm glad I voted on this poll Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk and then TDK in Box Office. I might just be right.

No actually your gonna be wrong about alot of things. For one Hulk WILL NOT make more than TDK and TDK will make more than 210 or even 220.The only way it will make 220 is if it turns out to be the worst movie of the summer.

Man I fought off the urge to say a lot of things here. I'll just let your post speak for it's self on your intelligence level. To think that transformer is better than Iron-man ROFL. Hell to think that it's even good. I can see how some people might enjoy Transformers, but to think it's a GOOD movie is really sad.

Yea, I can't believe Hollywood would make a sequel to a film that grossed $319 mil domestic ($707 mil WW).

I thoroughly enjoyed Transformers and am glad they are making another one.

How dare kid bosco think one movie is better than another!

Transformes was good, not great, for me anyway. For me it became another one of those movies that I watch for the action and eye candy alone, not the story or performances. Wich is what I experienced with The Matrix Reloaded after a couple of viewings. I haven't seen TF in a while...Probably not since December.

I find the ppl on this board cannot handle opinion quite well.
Outside in the real world, ppl like me don't care if Iron Man is loved by every single person on the face of this planet.
If I enjoyed Transformers more, and had the urge to go see it 5 times in theaters ( as did many other ppl ), then nothing you say will make me want to like Iron Man more.
I saw Iron Man once, and probably will see it again on dvd, but any more viewings than that is highly unlikely.
I can't believe because I liked another movie more, you ppl jump on my back.
Thanks for making me lose any respect I once had for you.

I don't care how much it made. Making money doesn't equal quality. :whatever:

Will The Incredible Hulk Defeat Iron Man?
Written on June 4, 2008 by Vic Holtreman

We just received some surprising information from MovieTickets.com regarding The Incredible Hulk movie which opens a week from this Friday on June 13th. It seems that according to their tracking, Hulk may actually end up with even better opening weekend box office numbers than Iron Man, which by all accounts knocked it out of the park with its close to $100 million opening.

They collect data during the movie ticket purchase process including a "buzz factor" (OK, the real name is "Aided Awareness" but that's boring). They say that buzz factor score for Iron Man was 36%... and for The Incredible Hulk, it's currently at 49%! So fully one third more people are aware there's a new Hulk movie coming out than knew about Iron Man, even with it's uber-marketing campaign. That's quite a change from just a month ago where it seemed like every person I talked to who didn't follow movie websites said "There's a new 'Hulk' movie coming out?"

So the question is whether that will translate into big opening weekend box office numbers for The Incredible Hulk. Could a third higher awareness of the film translate to a third more dollars at movie theaters? Not necessarily, but if it does, that means that our big green friend could be looking at a $130 million opening weekend! That would be a helluva shocker, but awesome news for Marvel Studios...

I'm wondering if the success of Iron Man is actually helping to boost the buzz on Hulk. People saw how awesome that movie was and now they're thinking Marvel might be able to go two for two.

The Incredible Hulk opens on June 13, 2008.

^If TIH makes $130 mil OW, then I will definitely modify my numbers for TDK and predict it will make $300 mil...OW!

Of course it's not going to open with $130 million.

But all that talk about Hulk not being a "factor" should be dead by now. The buzz for this movie has really picked up in the last month, and the marketing campaign has erased a lot of the doubt off this film even considering the bad buzz that followed Ang Lee's film.

At this point, I think it's staring at a finish between $175-$225 million.

Is it hard to pick up momentum when you are starting from none?

This movie has a few huge obstacles, namely Kung Fu Panda and Get Smart.
