I totally had forgotten that New Line and Universal lost those rights.

My bad.

Indy 4 will only work if we introduce a successor, with Indy in a fatherly mentor role. Harrison Ford is great, but he's too old to be doing all the stuff Indiana Jones does. I like the idea of Nathan Fillion as his son. Nathan Fillion is awesome.

Jurassic Park 4? Depends. The last 2 sucked hard. They weren't even good by any stretch. No way Batman beats Indiana Jones it's impossible. It's not even imaginable. I understand this is a Batman forum but try not to be bias. I'm a Marvel fan and admit BB2 should outdo Iron Man. If Hulk is out in 2008 and done how it should be done it would smash BB2 That'll likely be 2009 if they don't have a director soon.

Try not to be bias?? lol. you have been swingin on iron-mans iron nuts the whole thread. And theres no way in hell hulk 2 will "smash" bb2.. and youre reason behind that statement is lame.. "because it's gonna be a hero comic book film like everyone wanted teh first time around." wow!!! what a great reason for hulk to smash bb2!!!!11!!1!!!. Youre Marvel bias is showin a little bit.

^ No I've said it's more likely BB2 will beat Iron Man, and I've also said Iron Man (if done right) should make around 200 million being released in May and with Favreau. I also said if Hulk was done right and made suitable for a broad audience (unlike the first Hulk film) it would easily beat Batman Begins 2. Hulk has more mass appeal on film and proved that with it's HUGE opening weekend even with poor word of mouth and average reviews. The initial interest was their but the big drop off was a result of too complicated, too deep, and too dark of a film. I loved it though. The first Hulk just like Batman Begins was too Dark to ever be a Spiderman type of blockbuster. There's alot of "if's" in my statements so I'm not swinging on anyone's nuts.

Well, You're still bit bias "Hulk 2 would beat Batman Begins 2" what planet are you from? Oh wait let me guess Planet Marvel?

It's not bias it's the appeal of Hulk is spread over a wider movie audience. I'm not talking about which character is more well known or more popular amongst us in comic book forums. At the movies the right Hulk film will outperform a dark Batman Begins sequel. That doesn't mean the Hulk film is better. The first Hulk film was way to dark for kids and it was not the kind of film that kids could sit through more than once. It was too deep and too psychological. Avi already said this one is gonna be lighter on the psychology and heavy on the hero aspects and much more action and fun. Plus the Abomination will be the villain.

Again...only if it's done right and Batman remains dark will Hulk 2 beat Batman 2. We can ***** and moan for years about this so let's just wait now to see what happens. Remember Hulk's opening weekend how huge it was and then...crash. It wasn't the right hulk film to do wonders at the box office but the fans showed up in week one and then vanished. The DVD sold great cause you can forward through the crap.

I agree completely. And after his role in the Firefly universe that is pretty similar to Solo, he can now become Indiana Jones. His quest to basically become the next generation of Harrison Ford would be that much closer to reality. Plus, if he was in Indiana Jones 4, he would finally be in a movie that will make money, and woudl probably get a pretty good amount of recognition too so he would get more work.

You aren't fit to carry Harrison's bricks of **** to the ****ter. He is a movie god and you WILL respect him.

I seriously doubt you'll look as good and be in as good as shape as he is at 64. It's easy to talk smack when your balls haven't dropped yet.
Very easy, actually, considering I DON'T HAVE BALLS.

I respect Harrison Ford's earlier work - I loved the Indy movies, I loved Air Force One, I loved the Fugitive, I loved him in Star Wars...there's no doubt that he could take a dramatic role and run with it if given the chance - I'm just not saying an action role.

Firewall was just the nail in the coffin - sure, he's great for SIXTY, but great for sixty is not as good as great for thirty, let's face it. The Indiana Jones movies were action adventure films, and if the fourth movie is going to be all about him, it will not be as good as the others as Harrison Ford is physically incapable of keeping up with his 30-year-old self. It's just nature. If the movie had to, instead of having great, original sequences featuring a younger actor (ie - the "heir" figure) - so, instead of that, they had to lower their standards and use weird effects to accomodate Ford's age, it would not be as good as the others.

That's not to say Indy couldn't be in another movie - I'm all for a film where Indy passes the torch and tags along as the "old father who still has a few good kicks in him" (like the Sean Connery figure in Last Crusade), but if they're just going to make it a star vehicle to try and revive Ford's fading career, then I have very low hopes for it.

Isn't Punisher War Zone (atleast, I think they're keeping that title) coming out as well? They're supposed to start filming soon, aren't they?

I don't think it's going to be that big of a competition. The Punisher has a very specific target audience. A lot of people didn't really get it and hated it. I for one loved it.
I think it depends what budget it's going to have. The first one had a very small budget compared to its needs. If the sequel has a (much) bigger budget, it should be marketed to a bigger crowd,

I think it should should be an indie-type film for mature audiences.

But, the R-rating certainly narrows the audience quite a bit.

Well yes. The best thing about The Punisher is the old school action movie feel. I hope they don't sell out.

Punisher is not competition for these high profile pics but it'll be fun to watch.

Indy 4 will be more like black horse in box office.

Iron Man is going to be huge, but not so. $190-220m domesticly and $160-200m in overseas as I think.

Jurassic Park 4? I will say LESS THAN $140m domesticly and about $170m in overseas.

Batman Begins 2 as I said, will be huge and make more than 1st movie. $230-260m domesticly and $180-210m in overseas.

They're making a 4th Jurassic Park Movie!?

Ah yes, the Punisher....

Despite how awful it was, I respect Tom Jane, because he was on "Arrested Development", which automatically makes him cool. Being on "AD" is a free cool pass everytime.

TOM JANE WAS ON ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT?!!! When was this?!!

And also, am I the only one who thought Punisher was a good/cool movie? I haven't read any of the comics, so it might suck compared to the comics, but as it's own entity, I thought it was amazing.

I liked Punisher too. I thought that the only real part that brought it down was John Travolta. I really liked teh "family" element that his neighbors had in the apartment, and I thought his final assult on Howard Saint's nightclub was very Punisher-like. Also, the fight between him and the giant Russian was both awesome and funny, something that I have always enjoyed in some of the Punisher comics.

My favourite character is Harry Heck. Sure he only had 10 minutes of screen time. But he stole the show. And I love the song to. :)

Yeah, that was an awesome song. There's more on the album, and it's really good.

I love describing the whole Harry Heck thing to my friends who haven't seen Punisher:

"Castle is chillin' in a diner with his neighbors and this dude with all these tattoos and a guitar walks up and plays him a little random song, and then leaves. Then Castle is driving down the road and Guitar Man tries to kill him."

So random, I love it.

Punisher was great, but I also felt Travolta was the worst part about it.
