"The fans have plans, the blogs have plans, Snyder’s got plans. You know, they’re batfans. Batfans trying to control their worlds. I’m not a batfan. I try to show the batfans how, pathetic, their attempts to control things really are." - WB

This is great news for superman fans, cause Cavil is much better looking, better acting, and more appealing then Ben affleck.

It's funny to see all these complaints on Ben... It's like when Ledger was cast as Joker and everyone was doubting it. We all know how that turn out... I will wait to see a trailer/movie before making my judgement. He is an Oscar winner actor... relax and let the rest of the movie unfold.

But not a bigger name or a better writer/director :woot:

BeAff's casting is eating up threads at a record setting pace!

Well, most fans. Personally, just tell the next story. I don't need fifteen solo franchises to have a cinematic universe.
I agree with that. Too many Marvel movies feel like dead branches on a bigger tree, to me. It leads to a sense of Superhero saturation that probably isn't good for the general audience's tolerance of these types of movies.

I commend WB for taking it film by film, rather than committing to some dubious objective of getting as many costumed heroes into one movie as possible.

I find it pretty damn stupid how this stuff keeps happening.
People need to have an open mind.

I love Richard Dreyfuss's reaction on Twitter:

You read for a part, you feel good about it, you feel confident, then they cast Ben Affleck.

Difference here though is that the people who don't like him will just say he played a superhero before and he sucked and because of that he will suck again.

There's no such thing as bad publicity.

Or so I'm told.

Yet all those marvel characters got solo movies, only focused on them and their adventures, Hulk didnt co star in Iron Man 3 cause it was an Iron Man movie.

Two weeks ago this movie would have annoyed the heck out of me but in the last couple of weeks I've seen Affleck's directed movies and I see him in a whole new light, in fact I would now class myself as an Affleck fan.

But I'm cautious because (imho) I've just to see Affleck give a good performance in a movie that he didn't write or direct.

Watch "Hollywood Land". I must say this was the film that BA won me over in after those string of disasters he made in the early part of the last decade.

I hope ben get's control of the batman trilogy.
He does great work under his own direction..and he's got a good working relationship with Cranston.
