As long as Cavil is still superman, Im fine with Batfleck.

The most frustrating part of this is the rehashing of the "Didn't WB see Daredevil- LOLZ!" argument. Curious if the members of that camp have seen the director's cut of that movie, which actually isn't that bad at all. It was a decade ago, and his portrayal of MM/DD was actually pretty good. It was Colin Farrell's campy Bullseye and Jennifer Garner's Elektra that screwed with the movie.

I just watched the Town again last night, and for those who think he doesn't have the rigidness or anger to play Batman, take the Avengers out of your DVD player for the first time in a year and go watch the Town. Right after you take a Prozac, and relax a bit. It's all going to be alright.

Sidebar: Anyone else think this adds to the prospect of seeing Cranston as Luthor? Can't think of a better choice.

Affleck is a fine actor. But i'm not sure he's a strong enough actor to completely own the role and make people forget about Bale. We'll see.

:lmao:

Although he wasn't even on my list of people i might want to see play Batman, (i really wanted someone closer to Cavill's age) now that the dust has settled, i'm ok with it.

I think Affleck is a far more than capable actor, and certainly expierienced at what is needed to make a good movie, so yes, i'm excited to see where this goes...

My only concern is; will Ben reprise the role for the upcoming Justice League movie? I want to see a statement from the suits at the WB addressing this ASAP...

I don't think Ben will play Batman for 4 or 5 solos as a youinger actor might have.

But if WF does well they can use Ben/Batman in JL to really launch Flash and GL and WW into stand-alones. Maybe they will then recast a younger Batman (assuming Ben signs on for just WF and JL, a re-launch a younger Batman franchise.

This is exactly what I have been thinking the plan is ever since I heard they would be casting an older Batman. Bring in the older Batman in a Superman story then one last appearance in JL. Then re-boot the entire Batman franchise with a young actor. By this time a good 15 years will have past since BB and the memory of it will be fading. Probably WB not only wanted to help the MOS sequel with Batman but they also probably thought it would be too soon for another Batman origin story anyway.

This film could slowly win me over if we get a grey/black suit and Batman moves around like a Neal Adam's drawing, like a Olympian that can kick your ass.

People won't forget about Bale. Just like no one forgot Keaton. Or Clooney. Or West. Or that other guy.

I dont think that's the goal, hes a really big name right now,and he will generate lots of interest and attenton to the movie.

I'd be much more interested if he was directing instead of Synder. Snyder is 1 out of 4 for me so far

I had to skip an entire thread to keep up with this place

I'd like to see Affleck direct himself in a solo Batman. Could be awesome!
Yeah! Im guessing Riddler will be the villain and other rogues will have appearances, like maybe a new Joker. Shot mainly in Detroit. Yeaaah after seeing Affleck's own films, I can see this happening.

Imagine the conversations between them in both pre-production and filming.

The conversations!!!
