Now I wish Nolans batman looked like this instead all the jigsaw pieces of the suit

A bit of padding and bale could have looked like this especially during the batman begins training period when he didn't eat properly

I love the Begins suit, but this approach is definitely a massive improvement over both TDKs.

The DCEU brings virtually the best superhero suits ever put to CBM's. Snyder and Wilkinson has really brought their A-Game in crafting these beauties. I certainly hope as the DCEU moves forward that they can keep up the quality of the suits as more characters are introduced and even the transitioning's of characters like Supes, Bats and Wondy.

I don't think anyone would ever make the argument that the TDK batsuit is good. The Dark Knight is my joint favourite film, and I think it's a pretty damn bad batsuit. Affleck and Begins are in a tie for me. If Affleck was a little slimmer, it'd be the best overall.

I hope we get some more costumed villains too.

No offence to Kate Hawley's Suicide Squad costume designs but I wasn't keen on the whole ''I just threw this outfit together at the last minute'' look that most of them had.

The ones who had proper uniforms looked pretty badass though, like Deadshot and Slipknot.

I like when my Batman is T H I C C :

I couldn't have said it any better that's one of the main things I hated about SS were the costumes they all looked half assed.

Reeves reminds me of Nolan. And like Nolan, he does not seem like the type to embrace the batfamily to the full. I do not expect any Robins or Greyson to appear.

How's he like Nolan though? I actually think there might be a good chance for him to show that type of camaraderie in the Batfamily, seeing as one of the main tenets of his Apes trilogy was the camaraderie between Caesar, Rocket, Maurice, and whatever new good human is introduced.

Like Nolan where his standalone will not be connected in anyway to any other films/characters, which is fine. Just my take for now tho. The BAtman could be its own contained thing.

Love the Batsuit! :hmr:

I didn't have a lot of problems with the Suicide Squad costumes. Most of the characters in the movie aren't world domination type villains like Killer Croc, El Diablo, and Captain Boomerang. I was okay with them basically wearing street clothes.

After watching War of Apes, I'm quite confident the Bat-family and/or even Bruce's parents will have a big part to play in Reeves' franchise. The guy's is all about emotions.

Yes, but after watching "War for the Planet of the Apes", you should be worried for the Bat-family. :cwink:

Ha. It fits right into the Bat-family though, murdered parents and
adopted son, estranged apprentice, disabled girl, white knight turned evil,
3 movies is probably not enough to go through all of them!

I was just thinking about something. Does anyone get the same feeling that Ben has really lost any confidence he had in his writing/directing ability after his first flop? I really get that feeling since he pretty much handed everything over to Matt.

I very much doubt that. Every director has a flop or two on their resume. It sucks that Live by Night was a passion project of his, but it is what it is. It doesn't suddenly wipe away the great films he made, and I imagine Affleck is intelligent enough to recognize that. If Live by Night's reception did profoundly shake his confidence, then he's in the wrong profession.

I think it's simple. Affleck originally signed on to play Batman, and somehow ended up producing, directing, writing, and starring in a Batman movie. I think he just realized that he didn't want to run a one-man show and basically bear full responsibility for nearly every facet of the film.

I find that realization you speak of to be a bit ironically timed considering he pulled out of directing and writing after his movie flopped. Affleck always struck me as someone who takes his flops too hard on the chin. Daredevil, his movies with Lopez and now Live by Night. To me I get the feeling he wants to be remembered as a-lister actor/director rather than that guy from terrible movies.

Ben was honored last night at the Starkey Gala for his humanitarian work with the Eastern Congo. Well deserved.
