CGI abs (probably)

Always found that looked CG enhanced for some reason. Specially with there being no behind the scenes photos of that part.

Although it might be because they had to cover up his tattoos.

I think the whole "CGI abs" thing came from there being no BTS pics of shirtless Ben, and people simply not wanting to believe that Ben got that cut (which I'm not saying he did, maybe he did, maybe he didn't) for some reason; I dunno, you look at the shower scene and you see all the definition in his back muscles, you see the paparazzi pics of him at the time of shooting and you see he's not only very big, but also well defined (man, you can almost see his abs through his tee) and you see The Town and you see that the abs match (which I think it's another reason for disbelief; his abs are perfectly symmetrical, and most people aren't).

I dunno man, I'll just give'im the benefit of the doubt, all that matter to me is what's shown on the screen anyways; I don't need Ben to be a ninja detective just as I don't need Cavill to fly in real life.

And I think I could use a little less of my time staring at pictures of these shirtless dudes...now that I think about it....

If you compare this with the movie, it's more or less the shame abs shape

Although in that second comic panel Bats reminds me of Clive Owen a little bit.

Not that it really matters but...I'm pretty sure that is all Ben Affleck in those scenes. I remember watching an interview with Jennifer Garner where she commented on his new "physique".

She said something along the lines of that, when they'd be intimate, she was always floored by his new appearance/it didn't even look like Ben. She felt like she was having an affair. haha

I thought that was pretty funny. Regardless, I thought Affleck got into incredible shape for the film...even if those are touched up scenes or not.

Yep. While it could be CGI, if he got in good shape and then did the whole dehydration thing (which is what all these guys do for those scenes. Hugh Jackman always jokes about how even though he looks great in his shirtless scenes for Wolverine, a 12 year old girl could beat him up because he's so dehydrated), he could definitely achieve that look.

Or they could do the 300 thing where the guys were insanely ripped and they added a bit of airbrushing to make it pop even more.

Either way, Affleck definitely got in good shape for BVS.

Polux, looks like you were onto something. Found this over at DC Cinematic Reddit sub. Apparently it's from this past sunday (the one on left) and one on right is from his BvS days.

On the left, Ben seen in Honolulu, Hawaii on Sunday.
And on the right, seen in October of 2014, during his peak physical state due to filming for BvS.
There's no way around it, Ben has been training hard these last couple of months. You don't walk around like that on default, even if you have something like Ben's training history embedded on your muscle memory...
Which begs the question, has he actually already began prep for Suicide Squad 2? He and Gavin O'Connor already did 'The Accountant' together, so he's friends with him and he trusts him...
And what if then that will lead right into Reeves' first Batman film production in early 2019? It would be wise for him to start so early his prep for that one too, mainly because of his middle age. I so desperately wish for it all to be true...
