Ben Affleck IS Bruce Wayne/Batman

An AA adaptation is the perfect template for a Batman solo for multiple reasons.

First, it'll handily constrict the budget, which by christ is something WB need to do with these movies.

Second, it'll move us away from the tedious one/two villain dynamic that's been played out endlessly in superhero movies since the dawn of time.

Third, it'll allow for a more simple, focussed storyline that'll allow time for some proper psychological exploration of Batman and his rogues gallery.

Fourth, it's a proven story, both with ASHOSE and the games.

Fifth, it's ****ing Die Hard with Batman. Die Hard with Batman. $1.3 billion + world wide.

Sounds good to me.

Batfleck again, being one of the best things about the movie. The man is already my favorite film Batman, but they keep letting him down.

We aint worthy of the Fleck.
BvS UC is awesome. SS is meh. Bring on JL.

So, unless we're to believe that Bruce Wayne is feigning ignorance in the JL teaser, he seemed genuinely surprised to learn that Barry Allen is a speedster. [BLACKOUT] Having received a dossier on Flash and other metahumans (as seen in the mid-credits scene of SS)[/BLACKOUT], wouldn't Wayne already be privy to that kind of information?

I think it's more that he was seeing it with his own eyes and was stunned. He wouldn't have been there or thrown the batarang if he didn't already know.

Yeah, it's obvious he already knew, we even saw him see the security footage of him in BvS.

Yeah, it's either that or he was just feigning ignorance to make it appear that he was now coming to this conclusion.

Question: Does anyone think that Affleck isn't in the same shape for this one as he was for BvS?? Ok, that's kinda obvious, I mean he's definitely not in the same shape, but anyone else thinks he's significantly slimmer?? Cavill and Momoa look bigger than ever, but Ben doesn't look anywhere near the shape he was for BvS in the SS premiere pictures....I might be wrong, maybe my eyes are deceiving me; anyone else??

I guess since there probably won't be a shirtless scene for him, he simply didn't have to bulk up/cut, also considering his busy schedule he possibly simply didn't have the time to do so; maybe also the reason why Stuntfleck did most (if not all) of the fighting in BvS and more than likely will too in JL...

Thoughts...??

EDIT: I haven't seen SS yet, so please avoid any comment that might be spoiler-y, thanks.

While I love Affleck, he strikes me as the type of actor who will avoid doing the workout aspect and will prefer to use only padding. For Daredevil he didn't really do any workout and he hated doing it for Batman v Superman, so I'm guessing if there is a chance he can skip it, he will.

I don't really care if he's super cut or not, especially at his age. So long as he just looks believable as the character. I don't want a Liev Schreiber as Victor Creed sorta thing. Amazing actor, but his dad bod was distracting.

I'd rather he be slimmed down than bulked up because his face starts to look a ill fat when he bulking. He has a big enough frame to look big in a suit and the padding can do the rest in the costume.

I know he won't look as he looked at his peak in BvS, and I honestly don't care as long as its not distracting, ya know? For example, seeing the SS premiere pictures you can see Cavill's and Momoa's byceps bulging through their clothes, so they're obviously big guys, Affleck not so much...again, don't get me wrong, all I care about is how he looks ONSCREEN, so as long as there's no disassociation with how (big) Wayne looks in normal clothes and how he looks with the Batsuit on, then it's all cool, cause then it doesn't ruin the illusion of those being his muscles underneath... :woot:

And unless there's a shirtless scene, there's no need for him to jack it up, honestly, other than Jackman and Cavill, I can't think of any other superhero actor who remained in peak shape through their respective franchises...

Continuity is another big care for me. I hate when actors look completely different in the same movie. Unless it's something they can't help of course.

Then again, they made Samuel L. Jackson look in quite the "superhero shape" wearing a turtleneck sweater in Avengers AoU, so, you know....movie magic... :woot:

I know that Snyder went for the Frank Miller Batman in BvS, but I think it's time to slim him down and bring Batman back to his athletic/gymnast days. Batman was never a muscle man, he's been the fittest man/in peak human condition. He certainly won't achieve that by drinking up the Wayne family wine cellar. I'm hoping this time around he's back to his peak human conditions days, slimmed down a bit, and no more alcohol.

Even tho I find the imagery of Batfleck to be pure perfection, I wouldn't mind a slightly slimmer Batman.

Something I would like, and this is a VERY minor thing, is for Affleck to do at least some of the fighting; in BvS (again, please refrain from SS spoilers) is obviously Stuntfleck doing all of the fighting (which I don't mind at all, the way I see it both him and Affleck bring Bats to live together), but I would like some few fighting shots when Ben is obviously the one behind the mask; that's something I loved about the Nolan trilogy, that in many scenes you KNEW for a fact that it was Bale doing the fighting. It's just a silly thing, I know, but something that would make me happy :woot:

P.S: Stuntfleck FTW!!!

Hemsworth and Evans are pretty consistently in shape for those roles.

True, true. Actually, I think it plenty others are pretty consistent size wise (Renner is always in great shape, for example); I guess what I meant is consistency when it comes to definition AND volume, something that you only really appreciate in a shirtless scene, which has been the case with every onscreen appearance of Jackman and Cavill; Hemsworth and Evans haven't really had one of those in every MCU movie they've been, but of course they're consistent and in amazing shape for their respective characters.

Eh I'm not bothered if Affleck isn't in the kind of shape these other guys are in. He's got more on his plate than the rest of them do between family and directing. As long as he's filling the suit out ok I don't need any gratuitous shots of him shirtless. He did what he needed to in BvS in that regard so now I think it's alright if he's a bit more lax. I agree though I would much rather his focus be on leaning out his naturally large frame so that his face remains slim. As long as he brings the same great portrayal as he did in BvS I don't care if he isn't a gym rat. Some of us love the iron and some of us don't. It's cool.

Agreed, actually. All I care about is that his face looks like it did in BvS (strong square jaw) and his arms don't look too small when wearing normal clot....

Wait a second, I just realized how ridiculous this thing is....I'm pretty sure that he'll look just the way they need him to look in the movie, so...yeah!

:woot:

Male actors honestly don't need to get jacked for these roles all that much. Yes they need to be big guys but if there isn't a scene with their shirts off. They don't need to have well defined muscles.
